There are pits just before the lodge on the right and there are some more towards the bottom. Trail by the lower cattle guard but I couldn't find it with all the recent construction. I was trying to find the rock and show ya up but never did find it.

Oh yeah at the railbed theres those pits, that was my first ever wheeling trip and stuck in that mud

Rose Valley lake is one of the lakeview irrigation district's reservoirs. I'm sure there's some fishing to be had, the only access into it is off westside road, follwing up bear creek rd. To get to the lookout we were at is a bit of a bush trail up to hayman? lake.
