Thanks guys. I am so scared to cut the rear unibody though, so i'll have these sized tires probably until next season. My rears are almost doneskies.. But I have somthing in mind for next year

fiyota 09-02-2007 09:50 PM

I know man, it's pretty sketchy cutting through unibody.

But it will look awesome :)

i know, i cried a little bit, as well as shizaky and log log

down_hill_dog 09-05-2007 06:01 PM

they must have towed it to steal it. I was under the impression these cars (01+) had butt-fuck a criminal immobilizers factory installed

scary.. I'll keep my eyes open for cheap SC Miata parts

Pics of the car?

jeffh 09-05-2007 06:37 PM

check the random post thread

jeffh 09-06-2007 09:09 PM

you know what adam, your prelude doesnt look too shitty afterall. and the civic other than the tailights isnt half bad either. and from jeffh thats a compliment

underscore 09-06-2007 09:34 PM

wouldn't a factory immobilizer be potentially a lot easy to get past since you know they're all gonna be the same? Of course if they stole the whole dal they'd have more time to get past it once they're in their "shop"

down_hill_dog 09-06-2007 09:39 PM

at least in my car which is an 01+ I was under the impression, that if the ecm did not read the key code from thecorrect key in the ignition cylinder... The car WILL not start. either way... his car was a 00, and they stole the whole kit and caboodle. truck trailer and car together.

mines the same, if the properly encoded key isn't in the ignition, the car won't start.

like db and craig said, its built into the ecm on hondas and mazdas. unless you have the coded key its all over

down_hill_dog 09-07-2007 04:31 PM

and unfortunately his car was an 00', where this was not yet implemented.

but with the new ecm in 01 with our cars, many other undesired "features" came along with it. catch 22 i guess. 99-00 is the only way to make real power out of an NB Miata 1.8

racer__X__33 09-11-2007 12:57 PM

hey adam...u sure its rockin a b series head? unless he has a swap it wont bolt up eh? and i think u need diff rims...other than that the prelude would be sweet...makes me miss the old days of the CW poolude...and danny's...somehow those things were pretty darn quick...haha...

nosyt 09-17-2007 02:40 PM

dhd i love how the car i wanted to buy as a daily driver is the car you bought as a winter beater

down_hill_dog 09-17-2007 05:51 PM

haha, it is a nice little car. When I have enough money, if Justin has his b17 swap still. I'd be interested in doing it and having a fun little car to drive when i'm not driving the Miata.

Once the tires on the Miata are smooth, the civic will be on the road.

underscore 09-23-2007 07:56 PM

saloman 09-25-2007 02:00 PM

Wow man that does look better like that.....I probaly took 400 pics that day, I just keep forgetting to throw some of them up on here

underscore 09-29-2007 09:27 PM

Cam 09-29-2007 10:23 PM

Ceiling lamp fixtures in a motel breezeway. Taken at night, spot-metered off the light.
