damn, thats one hell of a jump, was it a perfect landing? might be worth bonus points... :D

well i installed S-AFC today, it was a pain in the ass to install, but its in and functional, now ive just gotta tune the thing, guess i cant get a really good setup without a dyno, but i figure i can get close enough through trial and error.

i think im gonna make a quick website on how to install one of these into a MK3 supra, too, since i couldnt find any good websites explaining the installation.

the Apexi instructions that come with it are 3 books -- all in japanese, and the online documentation is a mess, doesnt really explain much except gives a semi-decent wiring diagram (which makes all the ECU plugs look upside down).

Enraged 06-06-2002 07:24 PM

cool. you should make a more permanent location. well, at least i would. knowing me, id custom fiberglass a spot in the dash :D

Paradox 06-06-2002 08:04 PM

it actually fits in there pretty snug, im sure if i started cutting away some of the excess i could get the front of the AFC plush, i dunno if im ready to start cutting up my dash just yet.

its a funky little unit, is displays intake manifold vacuum/boost Pressure, air flow capacity, intake manifold pressure, karman frequency, engine RPM, throttle Position, and air Flow correction %

right now i dont have the AFC set or tuned to change anything, it does auto correct airflow to a certain extent which is making the car feel like it has more low end power, i punched it off the line earlier and did a bit of a burn-out/drift...

i figure i should be able to tune it down a lot tho, i be running rich!

NashMan 06-07-2002 01:18 AM

now his blazer is nick named jumpy the trail blazer

looks neat i wounder if i will ever get one of thous mabye later

i don't want make my car that powerfull i want some control

NashMan 06-07-2002 03:31 PM

hey tiby i nee ot know when you are getting in that down pipe caues if not i will get one custom made wheni get my hole exhaust down

Enraged 06-07-2002 05:28 PM

still the same time frame as i told you last time, abotu 8 weeks, hopefully less....

Paradox 06-07-2002 07:56 PM

that defon based pipe should be crazy stuff, if you look on the suprasport page for the turbo elbow extension you can see the difference in size, should make for much faster spool up and less restriction.

id get one, but to tell you the truth im finishing spending money on engine mods, after my turbo and boost controller gets here, im done. im gonna be pushing more power than what the rest of the car can handle, if i keep modding (hehe as if i'd stop.. goddamn supra!) it'll be suspension and interior stuff.

just talked to mechanic today about getting in some steel braided brake lines and ST sway bars too ;)

deathangel 06-07-2002 09:28 PM

thats where i have my boost controller it fits so well but i'm going to install them The S-AFC & The AVC-R in the ashtray I mean so that when i close the ashtray it's all hidden it will slide down and out when you open the ashtray

Paradox 06-07-2002 10:48 PM

uhh how do you expect to fit both in the ashtray? hehe, the S-AFC alone takes up all the space :(

NashMan 06-08-2002 06:12 AM

hehe if i had one of thous i whould pop it in the center console i find that places to be the best that why no one can play whiht the settings on yae an dit will make you car look stock

ps i getting new toy for my car very soon can you guess it gona cost me thou heheheh

Enraged 06-08-2002 11:21 AM

hmm... what about having them both pop out of the dash liek the new Lexus models have for the nav screen? hehe lots of work, but it would be cool.

hey paradox, what kind of lag will your new turbo have?

Paradox 06-08-2002 03:17 PM

yeah that would be sweet to have em fold out and up, have two displays right there, hehehe, prolly be expensive to do it nicely tho :(

as for new turbo lag, it shouldnt be as bad as a t3/t4 hybrid or other similar turbos.. thats what ive heard, atleast.

it will however be a hell of a lot more fun than my burned out CT26 with 130,000k on it :D i just hope i dont kill myself, hehe at 15psi and up that thing could make some serious power

NashMan 06-08-2002 03:24 PM

i love my new toy is so fucken sweet

i like this mod i did

Paradox 06-08-2002 04:59 PM

what'd you mod this time?

or do we have to guess? :D

Enraged 06-08-2002 05:33 PM

knowing him, he mounted a coffee can as an exhaust tip, and probably some "Powered by Honda" stickers for some extra kick at high RPMs.

deathangel 06-08-2002 05:58 PM

they both can fit in the ashtray that guy John has it done they fit in horizontally

NashMan 06-08-2002 07:24 PM

well you drag it out of me i have a apexi n1 muffler and stright pipe 3 ins all mandle bends

it has sweet sound to boot

Paradox 06-08-2002 10:06 PM

what year supra does this john guy drive? black supra right? does it ride on 17's? i was out cruising with my buddy few weeks ago, and we saw a black supra on 17's, my buddy was like "whoa. that looks like your car!" hehe, nice car tho, what year is it?

where'd u get the N1 can from, NashMan? i need a muffler that isnt gay lookin'

its hard to get them without the entire catback tho

NashMan 06-08-2002 10:48 PM

were did i get my muffler well i got it from lordco they had it is stock to but but nto any more there have some magana flow and easy to get but eh apexi one whoud be long weight plus i all ready have it you don't want some thing i have right

Paradox 06-08-2002 11:26 PM

hey, we both have washers on the wastegate, our supras share some stuff in common! :)

NashMan 06-09-2002 07:14 AM

well yes

but they do have nice magna flow i was thinking on getting it but the apexi cought my eye and i was hooked so i bought it

and now i am happy as clam

Enraged 06-09-2002 12:27 PM

i have a magnaflow, check out http://www.magnaflow.com/03mirrorrace.htm, i have #14835. i might buy the piping this weekend and built the catback on the weekend. just have to get the bolts torched off because they are all rusted on.

NashMan 06-09-2002 03:22 PM

sweet hope it work's out great for you toby

now here is littel poll who do you think has done the most mods to there car in order

i think it is tossup for me and paradox but i think he has me by hair but i don't know

then comes dark angle / enraged/silermrk 3

do you think that is in good order

Paradox 06-09-2002 05:07 PM

i think its safe to say you guys got me beat in the stereo department..

Nashman has more suspension stuff, all i got for suspension mods is cusco strut bar and H&R springs

as for engine/power mods, id say im at the top... i dont know of any others around here with the lex afm/550cc injectors + MKIV TT fuel pump mod.

as i said before, after i get my turbo and maybe a AFPR im done engine stuff... thats more than enough power for me!

;)
