Never really tried shooting anything still life yet with my new flash other than this one today.
Strobist info - Vivitar 285HV on 1/16 pwr, gelled by 1/2 CTB. Bounced off wall, and had a white bounce card to camera right, near the wall

I used a gel on the flash to make the lighting blue, and enhanced it a bit in photoshop. Dot, do you have msn? I have a couple questions about the 20D.

Some sort of black paper that I got with my lighting stuff. Its matte but it feels like tin foil or something, do you know the specific name?

Whoa sweet. So where can you get this gel stuff?
I wonder if theres a tutorial online to get that cool background you got as well(how it fades from dark on top to lighter at the bottom) and also eliminate everything else in your working area, except for the cup and water

Seattle Library designed by Rem Koolhaas. If you're ever in Seattle, definitely check this library out and go inside. You have to go inside to really appreciate it.
