The photo is very underexposed. You need to open up the aperture more, to get more detail. Try using f8 or f11 with a 20 second exposure.

The photo gets grainy because you're trying to get detail where none exists. It's always better to get the shot right in camera than try to fix it later in software.

Thanks for the great tips :)

^ Straighten the bridge and do you have any wider version or is that the only version?

Boostslut 12-29-2009 03:32 PM

Allright i will straighten it out, and no wider version. Taken with a 500L.

danizer 12-29-2009 04:04 PM

i can see that when its foggy everyone goes to the same place for photos LOL

The 2nd one is not bad. The first one, bottom part of the bridge is blown out.

Boostslut 12-29-2009 09:21 PM

shinraboy, i think a HDR image would have been cool with that. Its a tough scene to take a picture of. Maybe some at sundown to get some better more interested light.

vietdragonboi 12-29-2009 09:39 PM

remove post.

Haven't learned how to make HDR images...but yes, it would have been cool

Tried to get out earlier but went to brightlights after those shots....images got wrecked with people walking back and forth ...they look like ghosts.

First shot is awesome J! Nice pano as well! I might have used a telephoto lens to get a little closer and then done a pano with vertical slides to get in closer with more detail on the city. Looks pretty sweet though!

ColinK 12-30-2009 06:16 AM

I personally would had played with the levels more in the first shot, or at least added more contrast. Too washed out for my liking. But again, that's just me :P

Both nice pics tho! :)

J____ 12-30-2009 10:19 PM

thnx.
Ya i'll have to do that i realized colin, im on a dell xps13, the color and contrast is a bit weird. i tired to calibrate it but spyder 3 pro didnt do it too well...

Matsuda 12-30-2009 11:01 PM
