In the future our kids/grandkids will be holding up an ipad, notebook, or what ever fancy device their going to have in the distance future, with digital files (JPEG/TIFF).

Sad that most people won't know the beauty of a traditional B&W or Cibachrome print in the future. Hell, a lot of people even now don't know how crappy digital B&W prints are...they just think a simple desat is all you need to do.

You should teach your kid the art of film prints. Let him/her carry the legacy over to the next generation.

I dunno, but I find with film prints you can really capture the moment well. Looking back at my parents's old photos, and my baby photos there is something special about it. That special feeling isn't there when looking at a digital image on a computer screen. It's hard to explain or may sound corny but I'd thought I make a mention.

I should maybe pick up my dad's Olympus XA and play around with it. It's a sweet rangefinder.
