"Five people had to be rescued by the Coast Guard last night after their boat sank in English Bay.

The Coast Guard says the 39 foot pleasure craft started taking on water after it hit a rock near Kitsilano Beach while attempting to move alongside a sailboat wrecked during recent storms.

Apparently the Skipper of the pleasure craft thought the sailboat was in distress.

No one was hurt and all five occupants were rescued before the boat went under.

A boom is now up to contain any leaking fuel"

Holy thats crazy with the boat! Awesome pics of the whole process too! I'm sure the news or some paper would appreciate them somehow! It's good to be at the right place at the right time!

Here's a picture of the Melbourne Business District. The building on the far left in the Eureka Tower, which is 91 stories tall, and i believe is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. It's very beautiful!

Yeah, they did a few more passes after you left, but for some reason the last time they did it, they didn't immediately head out, they went along the shoreline. Then, all of a sudden - *BANG!* the boat hits the rocks, and then a huge "OOOOOHhhhhhhh" from the onlookers. I wonder how the insurance works in this case.

Here are the people on board the sinking boat waving down the coast guard rescue Zodiac.

The boats got beached during the windstorm on Easter weekend.

Matsuda and his friend brought the plush toys, and I happened to meet them on the beach.

I was telling my bro in law about it because he's got a sailboat and he said insurance might not cover umm *stupidity*
