Sell it to me cheap! :haha:

same here. i sold it with my 50D and don't miss it at all.

nice sharp lens for the price, but the range was just too far on a crop body IMO. :)

PM me about it later. I'm at work right now so can't really take the time to haggle. :p

If I had a 17-50 f/2.8 I might not use it as much either. Still, it does have that nice prime crispness, and more than a stop faster over f/2.8. And they go for, what, $150? $170? (Mine was free, mind you... that's the best price :))

I had one as well for my crop sensor camera, and didn't like the focal length. I gave it to a friend of mine. Now that i'm back to a crop i'd like to go for a Sigma 30mm 1.4 might suit me better for a walk around. The 50 1.8 is fun forsure, and its great for the price. If your thinking about picking on up Shinraboy, just do it. Your going to be like a kid in a candy store shooting with that thing!

i agree, i think the 28mm Canon prime would be better on our crop bodies as a 'walk around' focal length. :)

loving those Aussie pics you've been posting up btw!

Anyone here have the Tokina 11-16mm ƒ2.8?

Probably will be picking one up for my D90 when I go to New York in August.

Ronin 06-08-2010 09:29 PM

I have one. What do you want to know?

niforpix 06-08-2010 09:33 PM

I used to have 50mm f1.4 but I found it wasn't wide enough on a crop frame.

If it's worth the extra money over the Sigma. I think it's $130 or so more than the Sigma 10-20, in America.

I've heard the distortion is less on the Tokina.

I've not heard anything bad about it actually... and cons to the lens?

Cool, thanks! :D

Also I'm guessing the difference from the Sigma at 10mm to the Tokina at 11mm isn't that much of a difference for how wide you can go...?
