The hike is roughly estimated at 5 hours. It took roughly 3 hours to arrive at St. Mark's Peak, and 2 1/2 hours to return. The last 1km was covered in snow. The snow pack was probably 3-4 feet at the deepest locations. There were other sections covered in snow as well. You have to cross a shady looking bridge that is bit submerged in a swollen creek (due to snow melt). I would wait until August to hike the trail again. Were planing on going back, to catch the view.

or make your own variable ND with a CPL and linear polarizer :D

Alatar 06-28-2010 07:18 AM

Funny thing is I actually do have a pair of CPL and LP filters in 67mm. I should try stacking them some time to see what I can come up with...

77civic1200 06-28-2010 08:37 AM

I have a 10 stop ND in 67mm if anyone is interested, I need to move up to a 77mm

w00tgasm 06-30-2010 11:18 PM

I think the retail box is inside that box.

thanks for the tip. i was looking at the B+W ones if not, i hear great things about the Singh Ray ones...

but in all honesty, is an ND filter all the same? the Singh Ray ones are really expensive and i feel i might not use it a whole lot (my B+W CPL hardly gets used...lol)
