Normally don't like borders, but decided to try it for this photo. Any feedback?

Hehe 02-23-2011 07:33 PM

^

I usually like borders to be taking about 1/4 (so 1/8 each side) of a frame if I have to add. And only on the longer sides.

Otherwise it's barely noticeable IMO. And by framing only the longer sides, you make sure that pictures with dark or bright areas (depending what color you use on your border) won't merge with borders

Borders do nothing do enhance an image.

^ Nice set up

Nice. Although it makes Nex lose its ultra compactness. I'm looking at a flash diffuser for mine. May end up using one of those semi transparent film canisters.

If you are just going to use it on a bracket, why not just use a cord?

I plan to do more off-camera flash. The bracket is just for fun. :)

My original photo that I wanted to post didn't really turn out the way I thought it would. I gotta play around with it more in photoshop but I'll probably screw it up knowing me.
So I have to go to my backup photo for the day... which also is not that great. I have to learn more and more. And I need money for a wide angle lens! Argh!
