Shooting street photography with a telephoto usually results in really boring shots. 400mm is for birds or sports.

I don't know if its just me, but the pictures look crooked.

I would definitely try a wider angle lens.

Hondaracer 01-29-2013 08:27 PM

whats the best way to get straight pictures? just follow my level on the tripod?

Volvoman 01-29-2013 08:30 PM

Or fix it in post. If you're using Lightroom, hit "r" on the keyboard, move your mouse to the corner and click and drag the corner until the image is straight.

Boostslut 01-29-2013 08:39 PM

Hondaracer, they look better than I thought they were going to turn out. Remember, AV mode, ISO to 100, a tripod. Shoot in RAW and adjust in post production. Not bad for someone with limited experience.

Boostslut 01-29-2013 09:40 PM

Hey look it's a RED TAXI!!!

I find straightening out your vertical lines alone do wonders for the photo. next time try to frame your shots with straightening parallels in mind, it'll save you a lot of time in post processing :)

If possible I would also shoot during the day to allow more ambient light to lighten up your dark area. If not possible, use off camera flash, or even a little bit of bracketing

When I shoot interior I usually go apeture mode, lowest iso, f8-11.

Good first attempt though!! I wish I have as much assess to property shoot as you!

LOL....and the selective colouring has nothing to do with the title, "Lunch Time!" IMHO.

Boostslut 01-30-2013 08:27 AM

Matsuda, sorry I didn't know that was in the guidelines here on Revscene, but thank you my friend!

Senna, your right it doesn't so I changed it for you!

Here is another "No No," but ya I did it!

HDR, and black and white (Silver Efex Pro2)! OH NO!!!
