And some more strobist stuff. Trying to get more efficient with my off camera lighting.

^^^ First one! Very pretty. Maybe lighten her eyes a bit?

davidhtam 01-10-2013 04:05 PM

^^^ Agreed! I like the first one too! Great focus and beautiful soft skin. Did you have a fan blowing in her face?

The second one looks over sharpened and the tones on her skin are not even/consistent.

davidhtam 01-10-2013 04:06 PM

An old one from Movember. I set up a photo booth at the hive climbing gym

Thanks, and yes I was planning on it, but somehow forgot by the time I was racing through it

Ya there was a small fan to move the hair around, I tend to really like the look, feels more dynamic?

I am having a hard time getting web sized photos to look sharp with out going overboard, I try a few different ways then tend to give up and just save one. Not sure why my old settings seem to have changed to be so far off...

davidhtam 01-10-2013 07:07 PM

The fan works well for the first shot because of the shallower DOF, but I find the stray hairs a bit distracting in the second shot.

What're you using for post?
