no experience necessary. if you're willing to show up for work and aren't a complete dumbass, you're hired.

depends on the position you're applying for. if you're just looking for warehouse work, you don't have to dress fancy, but i wouldn't wear sweat pants either. jeans and a t-shirt would be fine.

I should think about this....I wonder if I can get the gig without working Tuesdays or Thursdays, or if they'll even hire 17 year olds for that matter....I can work that late no problem (at the cost of my sleep pattern lol).

I recognize the company name, they deliver food to my school.

edit: To anyone thinking of trying to take transit to and from work, I doubt the busses run that late out there..

they're practically always hiring warehouse staff because the turnover rate is high - crappy hours, monotonous work, but decent pay. if you present yourself as a trust worthy, hard working person that is eager for the job, you have a very good chance of getting hired. it wouldn't hurt to call back even better might be to email, but don't do it to the point of being annoying either.

Neptune is hiring right now.

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/lab/1254683204.html

I just got hired and will be starting training next week. If you get hired, you will probably start at the same time as me.

When did you apply? It took them a week before that called me. You should just be patient. They should call.

I worked for Western Grocer before. So I thought it was weird they took a week to call. But I was very relieved when they call. Its hard to get jobs out there now, even low paying unimportant jobs. I'm glad I got it though. I don't care if I have to work hard, as long as I get paid well.

more than likely yes, but it may get overwhelming to try and learn the job since it is the busiest time of year. this past friday night was the busiest friday ever for neptune, which by the way won't be known as neptune anymore as of mid-september.

Interesting, was thinking of picking up a pt gig. Any senior workers from RS still there? I used to work at Westfair (5 years) I was picking at 120% average and forklift % is around the same. What is toprate, turnover rate, benefits? PM me, i might be able to get you a bonus if they offer that too. (western used to offer bonuses for referrals making past the probation)
