xbox 360 premium $499.99 wireless adapter $129.99 HD DVD Drive $249.99 PS3 60gb Premium $649.99 i only included the hd dvd player in there coz ps3 supports bluray and i guess the 360 suppose to support hd dvd :P and don't really compare the games for ps3 and 360 ~ if u want to compare games wait a year first then compare~ anyways back to this thread I hate how there's no charger or anything for the remote! they eat battery like mad using rechargable battery is 1 option ~ but having to take the battery in and out sux. watch ~ eventually the battery cover will become lose from opening and closing so many times -_- |
i actually think XBOX360 have the best OS built in. especially with xbox live, the friendlist and also the achievement thing makes me rather play the xbox version then PS3. PS3 online setup is confusing. |

Maybe i will rent the DBZ first :p |
I've honestly heard nothing but good things about DBZ. I really want to rent it. Apparently the way you control your guy is excellent. |
i dunno i find dbz it's easier with the classic controller.. but then if i'm using the classic controller i might as well be playing the ps2 version lol |
Me choosing the 360 over the PS3 is my personal choice for many reasons. 1. HD DVD has a better video encoding format than Blu Ray which I think in the long run will win the nex generation movie disc. 2. Sony just had a pretty disappointing launch in North America. 3. I like the 360 controller over the ps3 because I never liked the PS controllers since the original playstation because after long hours of play my "big" hands start to strain, whereas i dont have this problem on the 360 controller. 4. I haven't seen the PS3's online system yet but I think that 360's online system is by far better anyday if u look at what happend to PS2's network ready launch, was it ever even a working idea? 5. That Ps3 is a hunch a chunch black box is even bigger then the original xbox. But yeah all in all my bias vote still favors 360 cause I owned a xbox before these systems came out. 6. Last but not least, i stop being a power gamer and turned into a friend/party gamer so I ended up with a Wii. hahaha my conclusion Wii ARE THE CHAMPIONS! |
I thought I was the only one who started to hate the PS controller after Ps1. At the time it was great, but I even preferred the dreamcast controller over it after that was released. Xbox Controller S was the bomb, and Wii's controller is now the one to beat (at least for ingenuity and fun factor). PS3's controller is old, outdated, too small and it doesnt even rumble. For god's sake get with the times. |

2. Agreed 3. Actually for me it's the other way around my hand hurts from playing the xbox controllers.. i guess different hands different opinion 4. I kinda agree but i'll have to wait til the ps3 online to be fully running before i make judgement 5. actually i stand the 360 and the ps3 side by side they are around the same size ~ or perhaps the ps3 is a little bit bigger coz the power supply is built inside instead of having this huge candy bar the 360 have ~ but i would perfer having the silver or white ps3 over the black one ~ i managed to get a silver one in hk ~ but i got no one to bring it back over here for me =( 6. I'm not a power gamer or anything... coz all i really play is RPG and winning eleven ~ only reason i got a 360 is i'm waiting for halo 3 ~ and the only reason i got the ps3 is winning eleven and final fantasy series ~ (don't tell me i can play winning eleven on the 360 too ~ coz konami announced after this winning eleven launch on the 360 ~ it's reverting back to playstation exclusive only ~) My conclusion... the only 2 console that should be compared is ps3 and xbox 360... nintendo wii is in a catergory by itself. |

Not to bash the wii or anything, cause I love Nintendo.... But once the "fade" is over, Nintendo is going to drop like a ton of bricks. They have no games coming out, and the AAA ones they do ( SSMB, Metroid ) aren’t going to be out for a while. You will be stuck playing zelda for about a year, before you want to spend your $$ on another game. The games that have been released at launch aren’t the greatest. Zelda is the only game WORTH buying IMO. Other games are renters for sure. The price of the Wii is supposed to be the big selling point. 249$ for the system 70$ for the game ( zelda ) 49.99 For the cables Add in an extra controller/nunchuk/ classic controller and this system aint so cheap anymore. In 6 months I see the sales of the WII dropping REALLY fast... the gimmick of the wii sports and the controller will get old really fast. The 360 I believe is going to win this console war. XBL and having a ton of AAA games already out and a lot and I mean A LOT of AAA games coming in 2007 is going to be huge. They already have a HUGE step on the PS3 and WII and I don’t see them looking back any time soon. A consoles life span is usually 5-7 years….. in 5-7 years I can see the ps3 and 360 having some kick ass games out, especially where technology is going. As for the wii in 5-7 years….. swinging my hand in a motion to hit a baseball on dated graphics is only going to be fun for so long. |

Is there any chance the other consoles can/will make a remote system like the wii? Thats what i'm concerned about, cause doesn't seem like the wii console has anything to do with it, it's just the remote and sensor bar, which i guess can be added to something relatively easily like ps3/360........if that ever happens, wii will probably end up like gamecube, useless save for a few games like smash brothers, mario party..... |
I <3 my Wii. Just got it updated online and now I'm thinking of DL'ing some old classics. I want original Mario Kart! Anyone downloaded any games yet? |
WII:Play and Warioware will be out soon |
The Battle of the consoles is still early in the competition. It is really hard to say what will happen in the years to come. I really dont think the Wii will die out like the gamecube as some people mentioned. Wii's direction is very much like how they engineered the Nintendo DS Lite, The DS lite is practically owning the PSP's ass now in the last year or so and is still growing. I am not saying Wii is gonna own the 360 or the PS3's ass but Wii is not gonna die like how the gamecube had suffered in a couple of years time. I do hope Sony will pick up their business now that they bring out the ps3, because their technology in music players and all those other technology they build are pretty sad. And perhaps bring in a new controller. Not reusing a design they have used for the last 3 generations of the playstation. I found that quite dissapointing. As bias as my vote is like you guys are, Wii is still about enjoying the moment with friends and was never about graphics like u guys keep pounding on. You wouldn't see my whole family playing on the Playstation or the 360 anyday. So does anyone want to challenge me in a game of Bowling hahaha my career high is 236 even I was shocked. I had to make a screenshot hahaha |
wii: play looks kinda cool. warioware will take the cake for sure! |
yeah I can't wait for WarioWare! those first videos from E3 pretty much hooked me on some level, I'd wished they brought out WW instead of Zelda as a launch title |
wat kind of game is warioware? platformer? mini-game?? |
warioware is pretty much a partygame.. just a buncha random mini-games that get faster and faster, it's really fun and interactive, good drunken friday game :D i think my favorite of all time was "hook-up" and orbulon! |
