about 20hrs |
yeh i think with the nunchuck attached it goes down to 15hrs... least that is what the BB guy told me, when trying to sell the rechargable batteries... 2.50 for 10 IKEA batteries FTW! |
what comes in box with the Wii ? is Wii sports included? |
The console, 1 controller + 1 nunchuk, Wii Sports. Access to the internet is free as long as you already have a network in your house. You have to connect it by cable or wirelessly you just have to set it up (simple). |
online game play is free right? only have to buy Wii points to unlock stuff? the controller is the classic one or the remote? |
there is no online game right now |
When you buy a Wii you get 1 Remote and 1 Nunchuk. The classic controller plugs into the Remote like a Nunchuk, it costs $24.99. Wii is expandable without using multitaps to up to 8 players if the game supports it. 4 remotes/classic controllers and 4 gamecube controllers. You only need points if you want to buy stuff online. 100 points is $1 USD. NES games are currently 500 pts, Turbografx16 is 600, Sega is 800 and N64 is 1000. I can't remember how much SNES games are but it's between 600 and 800. |

the damn wiimote and nunchuck eats so much battery... i'm on my 5th set my duracell/energizer already ~ all though my batteries are free :P |
i've been playing Zelda for a total time of 9 hours now in my saved profile, not to mention the couple of hours or minutes ive spent with Wii sports and i always check the batery indicator and still full? or its that cool japanese battery that came with it with its long battery life.. lol ugh hope Nintendo releases a rechargeable battery with a chargeable dock that you can hook up to where the nunchuck attachment goes....... |
my batteries lasted about 24hours, playing mostly zelda so thats with nunchuck attached the wii manual actually says specifically to use only alkaline batteries......no lithium ion, nicd, nimh.....etc will using those kinds of rechargeables actually be bad for it? |
^i'm using nimh. no problems. |
my controller is almost out of battery now, after about 20-22hrs of playing...with RUMBLE on..i think im gonna turn it off so no lithium battery ?? S/p??? they should last a lot longer than alkaline  |
The Components cable got PUSHED back AGAIN till the 8th... |
I dont think future shop is getting them until the 11th. |

i think i'm gonna go and buy a ps2 to play for now. is it worth it buying it now at $130? I have never owned any systems besides a n64. :D |
ps2 and its libary of games ( which is HUGE ) is decent for 130... but if u have the extra 100+ bucks i would make the jump to the WII im sure nba will come out for the WII ( NFL DID ) hockey.... i doubt it. |

half a year sounds like a safe bet~ just like the ps3 ~ most good games not out til like march or june next yr :'( as for nba... i doubt they'll make it for wii... it's not even practically to shoot a basketball with the wiimote... it'll look plain stupid |
i wouldn't be surprised if EA develops more sports games for the Wii. They already did Madden, so why not the other franchises too (Tiger Woods Golf?) |
and as long as FFXIII and FFVerusXIII come out on the projected date i'm still happy ~ i hope initial d or maximum tune comes out for ps3 and it'll support the logitech G25 steering wheel... that'll be da bomb while i wait for GT5 lol |
