I think the green/black one looks kinda cool. IMO, Swatch makes well-priced fun watches. The Swatch group owns a few luxury brands and also owns the company that makes all the swiss ETA movements. But nothing special about Swatch brand watches, well with the exception of this one

Almost 10 years back, when I was still in high school, I would wear my grandfather's Seiko watch during my exams. He would let me wear it for months at at a time and to me, at the age of 15, 16, 17, it was the nicest watch I had ever seen.

My grandfather was a professor and one of his students had gifted him the Seiko watch many years after he stopped teaching. A few years back, my grandfather passed away in a car accident and I always wanted his watch as a memory token of him. Unfortunately, my uncle took the watch as a keepsake not knowing how much it meant to me. Obviously I didn't want to ask for it and he lives in England.

Many years later, I managed to find one just like and as of last week, I purchased a brand new one.

I can't wait till it arrives!

Like I said, it being a sensitive issue, I didn't want to bring it up with my uncle. Even my mom knew the watch meant a lot to me and urged me to ask my uncle if he didn't mind; I just never felt right doing it. My grandma gave it to him randomly when he came to visit us in Canada. My uncle, seeing how he lives in England, and my grandfather lived in Canada; didn't really recognize the watch as "his dad's watch."

I was in England last year and I saw the watch at my uncle's house and it was just sitting on a table, scuffed up, in far worse condition that I remember it.

Regardless, at the end of the day, we both get to have the watch so it worked out.

I have this one, its a nice skeleton watch at a very affordable price. It definitely looks more expensive then it is. Is it your first mechanical watch?

One of my first watches I had. Timex Ironman. I can't exactly remember which model as I was just a kid when my Mother purchased it for me. This one with a fabric strap, lol.

Since then I have never worn a watch. I think its finally time to invest in a really nice one and a ton of you guys have them.

Just not exactly sure which watch to go for!

lol, having ANY watch at all in elementary was pretty pimp. Especially ones that came in cereal boxes.

What's your budget? In the sub $500 range, I would suggest Seiko, Esquire, Tissot or Citizen.

It's all relative, I'm really into watches. I don't own a nice car and I don't buy fancy clothes or expensive electronics.

If you're looking for a mechanical watch, I would look at Hamilton at that price range
