Perhaps they should have organized this AFTER finals. It was pretty hard to study especially when the music was loud as hell in the convocation mall besides the library. Even then having these dinosaurs running around in costumes elsewhere also makes it a big distraction.

After scowering through like 28 pages of whining kiddies playing the blame game on AE's own forum, it looks like they are scavenging for a new place to host the con, with particular interest in UBC...also aiming for same dates.

ya... looks like they royally fucked up this year.... why would you wait till less than 2 months prior to the date to reserve the space.

I think it was a mix of miscommunication, sloppiness and not enough deposit funds. 29+ pages of forum reading and it's hard to pinpoint exactly what it is... main point is basically the exec team screwed over alot of ppl.

That's what happens when people get so much responsibility heaped on them.

Every year AE gets bigger and bigger, but the staff gets smaller and smaller. It was only a matter of time until either staff got bigger or something like this happened. C'est la vie.
