i just got my copy from Futureshop...can't wait to play it! btw, hondaracer, it is $59.99 at futureshop. |
^ as i thought, oh well 10$ |
playing the ps2 version while waiting for pre-ordered ps3 version to come. i would say goalies are tweaked a lot better. they freeze the play more often too. scoring is more difficult............for now. |
man, after playing like 7 games worth i gotta say i'm not very impressed at all with this game Replays are WAY too short, sometimes you dont even see the actual play develop, u might just see the goalie floundering for the puck the gameplay although improved doesnt seem that big of a change over 07, the deking is definatly improved but i've found it nearly impossible to use the 1 on 1 deke in the neutral zone against 2 defenders, or even against 1 coming down the wing I was used to the awsome highlights and intros of 2k7, with this there's 5 seconds of anthem then the puck is dropped very little variety in character creation, the Dynasty mode seems OK, but somewhat bland considering the addition of the AHL affiliate i dunno..it seems like I had alot more fun a couple months ago playing 2k7 on the PS3 rather than 08, i'll play through a season i guess and see how it goes oh, also another gross function of 08 is the shootout challenges, shootouts against the computer when the computer is using the other teams top players it will perform the same move every single time, same result, so it's pretty much useless to hit rematch |
2k sports games suck! FYI |
^actually they don't! FYI Quote:

Also, it is not smooth. You can tell the PS3 is 30 fps. I played the demo of the 360 and it was like butter. It doesn't hinder game play but does make it less enjoyable. I am also going to play a season and see how it goes. |
i rented 2k7 and it was 1 of the shittest games ive ever played i have no idea how anyone could like it. For peoplet that dont want to go looking here is the jersey code: h3oyxpwksf8ibcgt |
can the ps3 and xbox360 play together online? should we set up a RS nhl 08 league? |
heres the unlock code for the new jerseys h3oyxpwksf8ibcgt |
|
screw nhl2k series! |
I should read the rules next time before posting. Asking about where to download a genuine copy was really stupid, what was I thinking. Thanks Mana for clearing that up! |

looks like 30 fps is nothing to worry about. on ice/classic cameras at least, havent tried action. best hockey game ever! |
^ you dont notice the horribly choppy replays and intro's? |
i really dont notice actually.. maybe because they're just replays and intros. not playing in HD, maybe that makes a difference |
And for anyone who is wondering about the PC version of NHL 2008, don't bother. It's just another rehash of 2007 and 2006 in a new shiny box labeled 2008. Looks nothing like the XBox360/PS3 versions. |
fuck i fucking HATE the control on EA NHL 08 passing, body check.....just....makes me wonna throw my controller at the screen..like fuck this~ the shot control is alrit...but everything else is blahhh I like 2k7 NHL better than this EA crap I wonder how the 2k8 NHL gonna be....better have improvement over last years |
