the 5x optical zoom is wow. most other cameras are 3x.
just wish it was a wider angle, 28mm like the 800/870is

If your going to get this lens (highly recommended) I suggest you test it as there has been problems with front focusing with this lens. | I was thinking of buying it, but it's not full frame. I might get the Sony 35mm f1.4G.

Have a question regarding law.
Maria is planning to have a wedding and her father offers to pay for much of it. He enters an agreement with John for that day and pays him the fee of 5 grand in advance. Despite being the greatest photographer in Vancouver, John is a bit disorganized and forgets to attend her wedding.
So can Maria sue John?
Well, I believe Maria has the right to sue John since they already entered a contract and her father paid John his fee in advance. John simply forgot about it so that would be his fault. He can't refund Maria's father back the $5000, since he didn't go to the important day. So the only option is for Maria to sue John.
This is what I can think of, but is there other options that pop out?

I'm no lawyer, but I'd think the only one that could sue John would be the one whose name is actually on the contract. If that's Maria's father, he'd have to be the one to sue. If John refunds the $5k though, I don't know the father would have a lot of legal recourse.
The law doesn't care what the job was, or how important it was to either party. All it sees is that a contract was entered for John to provide a service in exchange for a certain amount of money. The service wasn't performed, so the money should be returned, end of story.
So which are you, Maria or John?

What have you been up to jason? Havn't talked to you in a while lol... Are you still going to school?
We should have a photo meet. I'm pretty sure I could use the club I work at and get some models together. I also have a lot of lights and modifiers we could use (that apparently don't exist with pictures of them).
What would the interest be?

| Going to Peru on Monday!
Just wanted to let you know, now that you guys give a sh*t lol
It's my first "real" vacation since I got married in 2005. My wife and I are going to Peru to see her cousin get married there, then we're hiking to Machu Picchu... 4 day hike with a group of about 10 people. I'm hoping to lose weight which will motivate me to actually start working out when I get back.
Anyway, I'll see you guys in 3 weeks (back on the 17th)!
Peace

Make sure you get there early, before the crowds.
Oh and don't die...
Some of the trails there are freaking scary looking, my brothers photos almost made me sick

Yeah, we're doing the 4 day hike with a tour so the big plus of that is that we will get there about an hour earlier before the "regular" crowd, so I should be able to get some good shots
Now, back to packing See you guys in 3 weeks

Why didn't you just get the SB800 and use the camera's built-in wireless?
