Went there last night because I had relatives from out of town that wanted to check it out. Pretty disappointing. It's small (only one block on Keefer between Main and Columbia). They sell your typical stuff (DVD's, clothing, toys and a few food booths). Being opening night, there was a reasonable number of people there, but far from being crowded.

Overall, I wasn't expecting much. Last time I went to the Chinatown night market was probably over 5 years ago when it was much bigger. If you're looking for JB or anything remotely attractive there, you may be sorely disappointed. :D

err, we dont really talk about the chinatown nightmarket. its been getting smaller and smaller every year.

when we say the night market, we generally refer to the RICHMOND night market...

even the enthusiastic "little chicken eggs" guy moved to the richmond night market. he use to be at the chinatown one...

haha...it would be nice if they actually updated their website. Their website still says: "The Official Richmond Night Market location will be announced soon. Please stay tuned!"

I Googled it last night before I went out and that's what I read so I figured it wasn't open yet. Who would have though Facebook>Google? :D

BTW, I went last night, 1/2 the place was empty, even the food stalls. Same stuff as the year before, and the year before that.....

Damn...wtf...two sites? They sure don't make it easy to find out info about them. The summernightmarket.com doesn't even show up in a Google search of richmond night market.
