Oh yea, if anyone is downtown, Holt was/is having a sale on their denim. I didn't have time, but I wanted to get the Naked and Famous Frankenstein Denim... At Time's it's $135.00 + tax. However, at Holt, they had it for $140 with 25% off ending today.. :( :( :(

That's what I thought too.. but the guy didn't know anything about that sale advertised online, but instead, said there was some invitational sale this weekend (25% off).... No idea... anyone else want to give it a try? :P

Any of you guys' chain stitch hems falling apart too? I don't want to lose the effect so I'll probably have it reinforced.

The sale wasn't advertised i believe. It was 25% on almost all FW clothing and accessories except Prada, LV, Chanel, and Gucci i think and an additional 10% on sale. It was on from friday to sunday.

Speaking of chain stitch, which shop does Chain Stitch? I haven't asked the guy inside the Levi's store if he does it or not.

I don't think anyone here does it. You'd have to send them out to Selfedge in San Francisco or places like that.

Question is how do you know whats eligible and what the discount would be?

At the stores, the people working there will usually introduce you to all the deals on their denim. If they are using the same system as last time, they will usually say, tags with yellow dot, or blue dot, or whatever color dot will have X% off. Usually they have a cheap table at the back where its just a discounted price, and if you buy 2 its cheaper etc etc.

I wish I can go take a look....Stupid exams.

Some of the Nudies and Naked and Famous are 20% off. There are some good discounts on some Edwins, and I think 35% off from earnest sewn and ksubi? I'm not too sure. Cheap Monday's are $49.99 for 1, or $89.99 for two.

As for TIMES, they have already taken out their Naked and Famous profile, so it is just random denim in there (assuming it's from Dutil's stock). They will probably have a new profile after boxing day (I am assuming). Overally, it doesn't seem to be THAT enticing....I would rather wait it out till Boxing day! :)

What kind of deals do they usually have at boxing day?

If the sales not that different then I'll probly go now since its always a hassle to shop on boxing day.

On Boxing day, Dutil usually has some specials for the first people who line up. Last year they had some crazy deals like free pair of Nudies or Naked and Famous jeans... I forgot. But that's for people who are willing to line up to be at least first 5 people in line or something.

As for other things, I remember they had around 20-40% off jeans like Nudies, Naked and Famous, Levis, Edwins, etc etc. Which were pretty good deals. However, most people went into the backroom, where they just had boxes according to sizes of random jeans they put in. If I remember correctly, it was REALLY cheap, I think they had the denominations where if you buy 1 its $x, if you buy 2 its $x, etc etc. All I know is that I got Rag and Bones for 28$ that retailed at around $289.99 REAL TALK I got receipt to prove it. So there are some hidden goodies in those boxes. But, those boxes mostly had Cheap Mondays....

Gotta admit though, Boxing day at Dutil is probably the best place to go look for jeans. Not a lot of people know of Dutil so the line-ups were not that bad. However........You might have to try on jeans in a tent that they set up on the street in front of the doors! I would probably hit up Dutil on Boxing Day. From what I remember, I went at around 11am - 12ish and I lined up for... 10-15 minutes? Wasn't that bad.

It was the first 7 people in line with the smallest gift wrapped items get 50% of ANYTHING in the store. And they had it like if you cut off atleast 5-7 inches of your hair you got any pair free. I lined up with an eraser gift wrapped on Boxing Day and got 50% off APC New Standards. So win. But then again I got there at like 4 when they opened at like 1030 or 11. Overkill.

went to the Sample Sale at Sheraton hotel in Richmond today to tag along with my friend.

not 100% certain, but things did look fake. prices werent astronomically cheaper either

i checked the sale out today too, i didn't check out the tr's + rocks at all (not my style) but i got a pair of nudies. made sure they were legit before i got them

so the nudies are fine, can't speak for anything else though

did they sell raw nudies?
