Help!

My frankensteins are too long so I folded them up on the bottom, now they are starting to fade along the crease....Anyone know a good place that can hem really thick raw denim? And also how much?

Thanks

thinking of buying a pair of N&F slim guys, either broken twill or natural indigo. i'm unsure of how to size their jeans. i'm a size 30 with levis and i read that with N&F, you should size down ~2 sizes. so should i be looking for size 28s?

i also read that the jeans will stretch out a couple sizes after wearing it a couple times, but will shrink back to its original size. once washed/soaked. is this true?

should i still be lookin for 28s?

Not familiar with N&F but from what I've heard most people go down 2 sizes because they stretch out quite a lot. I think all N&F's are all sanforized so don't soak them.

RevYouUp 01-12-2011 07:16 PM

generally people
size down 2 for slim guys
size down 1 for weird guys
TT for skinny guys

it all depends on how skinny you are though

honestly you can still go ahead and soak them even if they are sanforized. they can still shrink.. and you can remove starch or whatever it is thats there since you're planning to wear it for 6 months (or until you feel like they're too disgusting to wear).. there is no harm in soaking them. I personally wash my jeans (samurai 5000vx 21oz) 3 to 4 times a year just because I hate feeling dirty... and mind you I don't wear them everyday haha.. they're turning out great! :)

^realized i kinda went off topic lol

Would you happen to know how to shrink Evisus? I have a pair that's kinda ruined haha. I tried to wear them in the tub and soak in hot water and followed that by dumping them in the drier on high temperature and tumble dried. That didn't do much to the size but I lost some indigo. They're size 32.

hongy 01-12-2011 09:16 PM

you don't put denim in a dryer

RESN 01-12-2011 11:02 PM

sorry but if you soaked it in hot water or wore it into a hot shower, I don't think it will shrink much more. You should have just air dried it :)

RESN 01-13-2011 06:12 PM

haha maybe you gotta sag em if they're too tight on the nuts

turb0triX 01-14-2011 01:27 PM

Mike Oxbig 01-15-2011 09:26 PM

apc for quality and cut

LC21 01-15-2011 11:31 PM

APC and N&F are on par in terms of quality, however for cut i think APC has slightly a better cut, they fit nicer.

shawn79 01-16-2011 12:11 AM

speaking of apc jeans... whats the difference between new cure and new standard?

RESN 01-16-2011 02:08 AM

new cures are slimmmer and more tapered while new standards are more of a straight slim. I like the fit on new cures better
