^ how about apc new standard? I have pretty big thighs as well :( and well I got these after my 501STF's to experiment with denim and I loved em! :D It's not as tapered as the New Cures so if you're not too used to the serious taper (>7.5) then the New Standards are perfect.

I think only Plenty sells them.. I asked people at UO and they didn't even know what it was.

just checked out the unbranded denim at plenty.... the material just doesn't have the slippery feel that my other raw selvedges have...it just doesn't feel the same way

I just bought a pair of Gstar Raw jeans, well i THINK they're raw. They have that stiff material (but a bit thinner than Nudies). They are Black, not indigo
Does the "not washing" thing still apply to them? On the nudies site, it says the "6 months" thing only applies to Indigo jeans, but not black.
I'm Prettty sure these are raw black jeans.. do i wash them regularly or every few months?

Are Levi's Shrink to fit worth it? I found a pair for decent price and just wondering will it turn out good in the future. Or am i better off saving more for a name brand raw denim.

They are decent. The fit isn't that nice unless you go for the LVC 501's. They will fade like any other pair of jeans raw or not. I started with the Levis STF and wore those for about 3 months before I decided to move onto Nudies, then APC's, and then finally my Samurais. I'll see if I can find any pictures for reference.

found some of the 501s. this was a few years ago when I wore my jeans kinda baggy haha

For 3 months these are really nice.

if you got the extra money to spare, then by all means go and try out the Levi STF to see if the raw denim thing is really for you....

there are also many other cheap alternatives to Levi STF if you are starting off...
