Racing Beat Springs PURCHASED yesterday. So for a grand total of $650 I got:
KYB AGX Shocks (new never used still in boxes)
Racing Beat Springs (New Never used)
New Dust Boots (new still in plastic wrap)
New Bump Stops (new still in plastic wrap)

Also traded my snowboard and bindings for new front tires for my Enkei's yesterday, so hopefully I can sell them to Acal and get my stock wheels back. :)

James, what did you get/getting? Comon tell us. I got some good pictures to show ya too from the cabin, got the film developed yesterday. Some funny shit in there.

good buy

RZ350 12-21-2004 10:17 PM

I'm gonna need some new adjustable struts for the front-end soon if I like the whole set-up, the ones I have are pretty hosed. Think I'm gonna go for Illumina's instead of the AGX though. After almost 8 hours work today I have a solid motor mount requiring only one more weld to be workable, it even lowered the motor significantly for better center of gravity!
Cheers,

altho unlikely, could it be the defroster metal linings on the rear windshield? i saw a post where a guy was having similar probs and he got some metal paint to repair broken parts in his defroster metal...

just a idea.

i might beable to figure it out for you there big man just drop me libne some time

Yeah still have a tonne of clearance with the oil pan, and the new subframe seems to shield it better than the old one. I started it up day before yesterday and man was it smokey! Guess it didn't like being flooded for a couple months and left on my buddies shop floor. I'm gonna go back up to Duncan and see how it handles at low-speed this Tuesday.

Hahaha...alrighty, not sure who all noticed already or anything, but last night watching 2F2F I spotted a red S5 FC. When they are doing the delivery for that guy near the end of the movie, trying to outrun the cops. Brian says "Alright Miami's finest, lets see what you got!" and a few seconds afterwards when it switches to the outside the car cam, they drive past a parked red S5 NA GXL. Just thought I'd share :)

RZ350 12-29-2004 09:08 AM

Drove the car, OMG it is a different beast. Handling is definately different but until I install the wheel adaptors that just came today I'm not gonna give it the all out, that and I still need some FC brake lines. Looks like as long as my welding will hold up the swap was a definate success, just don't ever ask me to do it again ;), well I suppose it would be easier with a 13B and some experience. Car should be back in Vic for possibly viewing sometime in the next few months.

Yeah I think that car was sold last year to someone in San Fransisco.

RZ350 01-05-2005 11:53 AM

Winter holidays are over and the beast still isn't finished. Looks like I'll be redoing the steering column and moving the subframe back some. At least I know it sorta works.......

P.S. Anyone ever heard of a Locost, I think I've got the bug to build one.

Timpo 01-22-2005 04:46 PM

I think that looks awesome

RZ350 01-29-2005 12:43 PM

Resurection! Anyone got any larger things they are still working on? I'm slowly sourcing parts for my EFI conversion while wondering what I'm going to use for a manifold. Also looks like the SC is gonna be much harder to make work and my set-up looks like it will eventually feature a turbo running low-boost on the 12A.
