the a/c, getting rid of the factory air pump, replacing springs with some rs-r race springs, trying to figure out a plan for a fmic, and looking for some decent staggard rims for it timpo! what are you driving now, what would make you sell your fd? |
ah I see. I got rid of my car because I couldn't afford to pay the gas and my car had way too many problems. oil leaks, wiring problems, etc... so many things to fix. I miss my FD so I am kind of planning to buy an FD again. (in good condition this time of course) or Supra or NSX, I don't know. It won't happen for a while though. I need money for school and stuff. I'm driving an RSX right now, bought it brand new so I don't have to worry about fixing it. God...an RSX is ridiculously boring car to drive. I like it because it is good on gas, but it isn't fun to drive. |
type s? i was looking for a brand new car also, hard to find a new car that has: 1 RWD 2 Turbo or Twin Turbo 3 2 Seater Coupe 4 Rare 5 More than 250hp |
no, not a Type-S...I bought a Premium. Type-S would be a waste of money since it's only an RSX and I was looking for something cheap on gas and reliable. |
oh in your criteria, you might wanna buy a 350Z? Greddy has a TwinTurbo kit for it. also S2000 would be ok too. |
oh wait...350Z and S2000 aren't very rare compare to the 3rd gen RX-7. |
350z or domestic is about your only choices in that range, man. i'd pickup a older car and fix er up a bit, rock that and still have the RWD fun you need. |
ok well what kind of domestics though? Corvette and Viper are way too expensive. Mustang is not rare at all. |
oh wait, is Corvette cheaper than a S2000 and 350Z? I know Z06 is expensive but I don't know? I think the base model Corvette is like $60,000 to $70,000 or so? |
well I am not sure if this is a repost but we have opened www.bcrotary.com to replace bcrx7 |
we need a little bit more categories... like 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen RX-7 talk, RX-8 talk and other gen talk. |
just curious if anyone here with a first gen rx7 has any expierence with fender flares, I'm looking to restore my rx7, but the rear fenders are fairly rusted, cant really weld, but i can fibre-glass, so I'm looking for any universal or any kind of fender that'll work with the rx's fenders and give me roughly a 1-2 inch lip, just so i can cut out the rust, not really worryin' about patching it with steel, just covering over it with the flare, then mold it to the body via fibre-glass. |
You can probably get a widebody kit from Mariah Motorsports... http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/ GTU $2,753 http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/ima...2-gtu_line.gif GTO-1 $2,991 http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/ima..._gto1_line.gif |
^ where in my post did I say bodykit?, I'm looking for fender flares, not a 2500 doller widebody kit  , not looking to spend more than a few hundred dollers. |
oh I see |
cpracing has flares, but good luck ever recieving them i also hear they are a shitty fit. best to retro-fit some VW jetta (i think) flares to the FB. search on rx7club, theres plenty of threads on fender flares. do you want to fit bigger wheels? cause having flares but stock wheels is gonna look pretty bad. |
yeah www.rx7club.com is a better place to search I think this is what he is talking about... http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a257/kingrotor/27.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...rotor/2358.jpg |
