I'm still confused as to whether or not this is one store, or 3 different stores in the same building. Perhaps sharing rent or something.
It's a shared property.

Was in East Van and I remember good things about Venice Garden Seafood Restaurant during my last visit (Dec 2010)

The restaurant is located at Renfrew & E 1st Ave on the upper floor of the TNT complex.

Here's the summary

- Ordered Lunch Special BBQ Pork + Soya Sauce Chicken on Rice + Cold Lemon Tea. HORRIBLE!!!! They gave only 5-6 slices of the fattiest sinew bbq pork. Soya sauce chicken was 1 extra small full wing plus 2 pieces of the chicken breast. No veggies and the soya sauce on rice was a FAIL (no taste and not enough). Futhermore found a piece of plastic from the rice bag in my plate of food 0/5
- Also got the Seasonal Veggie + Beef Chow Fun with Sauce
- The beef was ok but the sauce was very salty. The veggie was shanghi bokchoy and it was cut in the biggest possible piece making it hard to eat. We found veggie flies in the bokchoy. Horrible presentation they literally slopped on the beef, veggie and sauce and that shit was all over place 0/5

For all it's worth please stay away from the Venice Garden Seafood Restaurant on Renfrew and E 1st.

They were quite full today. I'm not really share why people eat there......it's rated horrible too on Urbanspoon and Yelp

Tried Lotus Pho on No.5 Road across from LA Chicken. Bun Bo Hue was good, but wouldn't recommend their appetizers. Tried their appetizer combo which had a salad roll, spring roll and chicken wings. Pretty weak across the board.

Other than that, it's a decent Vietnamese place. And it's clean and accepts credit cards for a change.

if you want good bbq pork and soya chicken try the bbq place across from the parking lot, tiny place but tables to sit down and eat or take out, the pork skin is so crispy and the meat just melts in your mouth

Lucky Gate on Austin avenue.
Ordered a 5 spice beef noodle. The noodle itself was good, but the beef was nothing special at all. Tasted like marinated beef that you can buy at T&T.

They got my order wrong, however. The owner yelled and insisted to me that I had ordered another noodle soup item when they brought out the incorrect dish. This would've been impossible because I can't even read the dish name, as I ordered it in Chinese.

Friend ordered satay beef with veggies and handcut noodles.

Food was fairly greasy/oily.
Prices were average.
Parking availability was poor.
Service was awful. (slow and poor attitude)

Never going back.

3/10

I just revisited this place last week. Not sure if ownership changed or not (looked like the Greek place took over) but the fries are no longer good (not crispy) and the gravy was overly salty. Could be an off day, but I'm not going back for mediocre fries at $8.

Fish on Rice, in Burnaby. 8/10.

Good sashimi, beef short ribs, scallop scones.

The air conditioning can use a higher setting during the summer. It's a bit hot to eat in this restaurant.

Memphis Blues BBQ

7/10

Eaten there for the 3rd time now. Ribs always disappoint, too dry for my liking. Pull pork sandwich was delicious though.

agreed about the ribs. They don't have the nice crust outside with moist inside. The ribs at pekinpah in gas town are good, and also smoked like memphis blues.

Yeah how do you eat a burger "the right way"?????

Last I've known you grab it with your hand and shove it in your mouth.

Are you suppose to use knife and fork and cut it specifically at a tangent while dissecting the layers you you get equal bread, meat, cheese, veggie?

they serve you the sashimi...after all the cooked food arrives...

I don't remember the names very well but is this the one on the upper upper level? There's two restaurants in that complex, one that is 1 floor above TNT and is right on the parking lot and across from the now closed supermarket unit. And then there's another seafood restaurant another level above, I assume you went to that one.

The other one is the one i went to two months ago. My uncle's friend had taken us there and we had a king crab meal. It was pretty good and from what ive seen other patrons order, their portions are really big and the dishes looked good. Place was packed on a weekday night as well.
