Went to Ask for Luigi yesterday for brunch.
It's a very small joint. But the food is very good and totally worth the wait. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana and ricotta stuffed eggplant. They were both excellent.
The service was top notch too. We ordered something and they realized they didn't have it anymore afterwards, they offered a complimentary dessert on the house. And the panna cotta (the desert we got) was incredible; just the right balance between creaminess and sweet, and the dates were a perfect match.
I will be back to try out their pasta for sure.
If there's one thing I didn't like, it's the portion control. The lady next to me also ordered the chicken parmigiana, and it was almost twice in both size and thickness. The fried egg barely covered half her chicken while you'd basically only see the egg and the surrounding sauce on my plate. But other than that, everything was great and I'd pay another visit for the pasta.

^been there a few times, i also like it but sometimes the line can get out of hand.
both times i went the line was fine but every time i drive by or hear from others it's super busy. i like the fried bocconcini.

meh, it was good but soooo buttery.. $13 per sub...paid $17 for combo with fries and drink. not really worth it to me
could've bought a bunch of sushi with that money  lol

cactus club coal harbour
went there twice last week
order the tuna stack!!! best appie on the menu, they removed my previous dish of tuna tataki but the new dish makes up for it.
butternut squash soup was worth the $7 as well!
beef shortrib wasn't worth it, bit meh , the rob feenie chicken burger is the exact same design as a the chicken crunch with english bay cactus concession (except it is missing the lemon zest) soooo freaken goood
bit bias rating since I use to work at CC when I was a young teen lol

Four Winds Brewery.... their tacos are some of the best in Metro Vancouver. At least in my top 3, especially their roasted cauliflower. Hnggggg I want them in my mouth everyday.
Washed down with their Saison.

Purple Café in Bellevue. Went to the Seattle one before as well and both locations was good. Huge Selection of wine. The also offer wine flights. Good notables is their chop salad and Lamb dish. But the most highly recommended is their salted caramels. OMG! Definite 10/10 for that and I don't have a sweet tooth at all and I love it! Solid 8.5/10 overall for food drinks and ambience.

^I have no fucking clue why people rave about that place. I gave that place 3 chances hoping I would see what others see in it and left unhappy everytime because of the hype, people calling it 10/10 and god's greatest gift to Vancouver's sushi scene.

I found the quality great, but the portions a tad small.
Would pay a bit more for a few extra pieces at that quality level.
