1) 2003 Mercedes Benz CLK bought in october 2007 with 70k kms 2) Awesome condition with one minor defect in windshield 3) racked up 30,000 kms in 6 months....oil change every 4k instead of the reg 8k intervals. http://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/phot...66277_7972.jpg i love her to death..displacement really gets her going (275 rears grips well) ; no current problems yet. ...soon to be mods = Brabus Front, and front/rear AMG calipers/rotors. cons = THIS AINT NO HONDA....parts are expensive...religiously waxed, and always serviced at Flying Tigers. |
1. 1991 Civic hatchback (bought it off a RS member too! thanks john) 2. Bought it last year in November or December at about 240 000km's, now its at 249 000ish km 3. Pretty good condition, not much rust for a 1991 honda. and the fenders are rolled! 4. Fixed anything that needed to be fixed (defroster switch and lines, wiper switch, fixed the heater transistor, burnt out bulbs etc), routine services like oil changes and checking the brakes. more recently i replaced the timing belt, water pump, machined the front brake rotors, wheel alignment and did a valve adjustment last last week! 5. not much power (its a 1.5 SOHC DPFI!) but its ok on gas. i'm going to put the D16A6 from my CRX SI into the car once i source myself a B16A. maybe i'll see some of you at auto X! |
Good to hear the car is in good hands Nick! How's the car? I still have that extra remote for ya so let me know when you would like to meet up. |
1) 2008 Accord Coupe EX-L I4 White 2) Feb 18, 08 (9100 km) 3) lol perfect condition, not even road chips after going to the US 4) just did an A1 service today at Middlegate Honda 5) love the fact i got I4 instead of V6, doing about 10L/100km in the city and way better on the highway. Just enough power and not too much, efficient enough for me, roomy enough inside, quiet enough inside as well... |
so I just calculated mine and I've put on 14-15000 since Nov 11, 2007. That includes driving from down on the lower mainland up to kamloops when I bought it and a trip to edmonton and back. |
1) 2007 Acura MDX - Purchased new in December of 06 2) For the first 12-13 months of driving, I had put on about 38-40k clicks. Since January, I've only put on about 4-5k. I'm sitting at just over 44k kms right now. 3) The condition is great - a streak of bad luck though. Broken into once, front window was vandalized by some kids once, car was stolen and taken on a joyride for a night, gf backed up into a concrete divider.. Everything has been replaced/repaired and everything runs perfectly smooth - although i have a cd stuck in my cd player which will be fixed this weekend 4) No major services done - regular oil changes, had the tires rotated.. Bringing the car to Advance motors in the next couple of weeks for new brake pads. Otherwise, everything is perfectly sound. 5) It holds up very well, although it is much more then what I need and consumes quite a bit of gas. I live downtown and work a few minutes away, across the Granville street bridge. Great vehicle and is very useful, but other than driving my gf around or letting her drive it, there is no use for something like this in my life right now. Looking to get Mini CooperS, Z4, or M Z-coupe or M-coupe, maybe even a 1-series. I'd miss this car to death though, should I be getting a smaller vehicle. Hopefully, it'll stay in the family in the future. EDIT: Adding a review for my last vehicle 1) 2004 Nissan 350Z 2) Bought it brand new, but put on about 50k kms in the first year and a bit. Traded it in with 68k kms during the summer of 07. 3) Condition of the vehicle was pretty good. Had someone hit my passenger door leaving a huge dent in it. The dent wasn't fixed for about 2-3 months as I had a battle with ICBC. They had said that it looked as though I had "launched my car off of a curb, or something, and had somehow managed to land my door against a pole of somesort". Gave me very bad vibes of the vehicle and the only thought that had gone through my mind at that point was that I wanted to get rid of it. Brakes wore out super fast, a lot clinks and wierd noises inside the vehicle and it sounded like it was coming from the rear wheelwell. CD Player sucked bigfoot ass. 4) I had gotten one of the major service packages from Nissan - what a waste of money. Other then that, just the regular maintenance items like oil changes and brake pads changed. 5) It wasn't bad for everyday needs. Consumed a lot of gas which took a toll on the wallet. Hated to drive it during the winter when there is snow on the ground as I would not be able to get into my area without having it flat-bedded. Otherwise, it was quite a car. I miss it tons and have even thought of getting an 06/07 350z. |

I had to do a LOT of driving.. What's funny is, that's nothing compared to my very first car. Way back when, my parents had bought me a brand new 4Runner Ltd for my 16th birthday. When I had attained my N, the car had about 12k kms. When we had sold it 3 years later, it had 144k kms on it. About a 3 year old car with 144k kms.. But, at that time, gas was uber cheap (54.9-69.9/liter), and even then, my gas bill was 5-600/month. Bought a place DT in January and I work about 2-3kms away. Since then, I've cut my driving down to under a thousand clicks per month, average. $120 tank of gas would last me about 450kms, so, maybe $250-300 on gas month which is sure as hell of a LOT cheaper then what it was with any of my previous vehicles. |
1) 2005 Acura TSX 2) Bought it used in Jan 2007. Had 12,500km on the clock when I bought it. Has about 20,500km on it now in the 18 months I've owned it. 3) Fairly good condition. It's mostly used for city driving, so no stone chips. Has a door ding, a few scratches on the back bumper from idiots bumping my car and a small dent on the trunk from backing into a post  Gets a full detail twice a year (claybar, polish, wax) and washed every 2-3 weeks. 4) Only had oil changes so far. No major maintennance. 5) Seems to do the job for me - get me from A to B with no problems, comfortable and pretty decent looking car. |

Yeah shizz. I want to keep my city driving low since I think I drive around like less than 40KM a day and that's either after 40KM to and from work or just on my day off. Damn, I wanna keep my KM low but meh, it's a honda. It'll last right? (I'm more worried about my clutch/transmission than anything else) |
1) 1997 Acura 1.6 EL... aka Project EL 2) Got it used, driven for 4 years, 106km then, 168km now 3) Well maintained, some body work needed... ... front bumper got hit, also got keyed 4) A lot of standard maintenance, tranny rebuilt last year 5) Underpowered D16, okay on gas, better after recent maintenance... ... I love my car because its mine and I have done a lot of mods myself ... I plan on keeping it for another 2-3 years and then getting a brand new car http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...t/P1020101.jpg |
1) 2006 Lexus IS350 2) 46,000km 3) Pretty clean, rock chips here and there 4) The regular intervals... 5) I like it! Pretty good on gas for a V6, but space is a bit lacking. |

1.) 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 2.) Bought it with 8600 miles 2 years ago. Now has 18600 miles on it. 3.) a few scratches from cones from autoxing. Great condition. 4.) Nothing wrong with it at all except a clunking noise from the rear control arms cause I didnt tighten them enough. 5.) REally bumpy ride with all those suspension mods and rod ends. But it gets great gas milage for a big v8 and power it makes. Always manages to put a smile on face. Dont think I will ever sell this car. |

1) 2002 Lexus IS300 2) Bought it from first owner with Cash on March 31st, 09. Had 124k. Today at 144k. 3) Somewhat poor condition now with lots of rock chip to the front bumper and hood. (nothing a carbon fiber hood wouldnt fix!) 3) Oil changed 3 times since I had it, also replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioners, accessories belt, spark plugs, tranny and diff oil, headlight bulbs and ballasts, brakes (original were warped), windshield. (had a nasty crack that extended from one side to the other, but I got to lowball the previous owner) 4) No real problems yet, although my tires are wearing with positive camber in front and negative camber in the back despite it is factory lowered....... 5) Future plans would be simple bolt on mods, headers, exhaust, intake, and suspension, of course this depend financially where I am at. haha. If i win the lottery then I am converting my pride and joy into a fully grown monster, with the Supra twin turbo engine. =) 6) She's a keeper. |
