Nah, that one was pretty easy. This year, we had a pretty hard question just for normal constraints with a lot of variables (8). Hardest part was that all the constraints aren't fixed numbers, and are % of the total quantity (which can change), making it a lot trickier to code into excel for solver to work properly

I'm wait listed for KIN142, and seats are reserved until Nov24th.

Should I stay on the wait list, or should I drop and immediately enroll on that day (which is supposed to bypass all people on the wait list)?

Would this apply for labs too? I'm 2nd on the wait list, and there's one seat available. No reserved seats, but I'm afraid to lose my place the current lab that I am wait listed for if it doesn't work.

-> Edit: I have a friend enrolled in one of the labs as an attempt to save me a spot if I were first on the wait list. Although I am not first, apparently I can have her to drop the course, and right after re-enroll and beat the wait list? Don't think that works, but definitely worth asking.

You can't bypass the waitlist anymore, they fixed it. At least it worked properly for my class I was waitlisted. Moved up through the queue until I was enrolled

Does anyone have a recommendation of a cmpt sci course? For someone who has no experience and just wants to test it out to see if there's interest in it. Currently, doing a major in Kinesiology but I don't think this is the career path I want to go into... after three years ha.

^ buec 232; math 12 probability and assignments are moderate level. watch out for high class averages (approx. 76-79%)

You can bypass the system when SIS is not updated. usually around 1-3am. So if you need to swap with a friend, the best chance of that working is during those times.

@Fcuked: I think in kin 142 there are labs? If you can get yourself into one of those labs you will be given a lecture spot (even if you are on waitlist)

edit: just read your post. If I were you, I just stay on the waitlist.

Although there are seats available for the lab I am enrolled in, couldn't people bypass that as well and take my lab spot?

Looks like Educ100 is always full, long before it even gets released to the general public. Can non-BGS education students ever be able to enroll into it?

Guess I kinda answered my question. Educ 100 is basic requirement for educ students. So looks like it will always be full and no matter what enrollment date you get, the department restriction to release seats will never get you to enroll.

On the other hand, I love their degree (not arts, not science, but general studies), and how you can pick ANY course to satisfy the 120 credits to graduate. It must be a glorified high school diploma or something.
