Anyone take Stat 201 with Scott Pai? Debating if I should take DIST ED with Schwartz... I will only attend lectures for midterms but pai does pop quizzes so I will lose an auto 7% is it worth...

You should take it with scott pai just for the pure hilarity of the course lol
I hate math, but his class was easy. I skipped a lot, crammed for midterms and the final, ended up with an A-, not a bad class if you're a crammer but his lectures were actually very useful (I'd constantly find myself saying "I wish I went to lecture" lol). His assignments were a large chunk of the mark, and if you pay ~$15 you can get access to a website (I think cramster?) that has all the worked out answers for each question, step by step.

^ Thanks for the info!!
Currently enrolled in his class for STAT 201 as well. He's naturally a funny guy.
Anyways, seriously considering Cramster. I remember using a fake account back when I was in math 155 and it helped tremendously.
Anyone else recommend it?

I took stats 201 with scott 2 years ago, like everyone else has said, hes a character. Course wise, well, numbers aren't my forte, but I managed a B+ or A-, can't remember; I'd recommend it as a course, if you needed to take it with him.

How hard were the coding assignments in cmpt300? You can have teams of up to 3 to complete the assignment

But basically its like all other car meets..hang out in the parking lot, shoot the shit, check out other peoples cars. We went often in the winter, we'd usually have a group of maybe 6-8 SFU'ers park together

Can anyone chime in on Scott Pai's 201 midterms? What should I focus on when writing up my cheat sheet?
Mine is on Friday, thanks |
