smet and ca is overplayed you see all these fucking white boys rocking that and lb's thinking their all thug |
Saw it on the first page and it's STILL true: fat kids in high school wearing that CA shit. My school has a few of those kids. Also, overplayed when ghetto fake versions of CA, etc. come out from places like Stitches or other stores where teens shop. |
when old men wear premium denim or even branded apparel such as CA, SMET, rock&republic |
LOL I saw some guy in his 50's and he was sporting True Religions, I felt so embarassed cause I was wearing true religions at the same time haha |
I think you can tell a brand is overplayed, especially in Vancouver, when you see it being sported by kids at Metrotown. To my credit, I once rocked Club Monaco and collected their sweaters in at least 6 colors. I suppose the word Monaco evoked feelings of luxury and grandeur. |
companies like lacoste, polo, adidas, nike will never be overplayed...they've established their brand image. In the case of lacoste...polo etc...you'll see younger people wearing it to follow a trend...like a rapper wearing a polo, or the whole pink polo, flipped collar thing...but they'll never be played out...they've been around too long. Nike and adidas ... they're first function is for sports, not fashion...even if pieces are modified and worn as a trend and overplayed...it will always come back to being a reliable sports brand. |
Anything by Christian Audigier. That Dussault, TapOut and Affliction crap too. |
ed hardy....and CA |
Basically any type of clothing that is "flashy" or gets attention gets played out real fast. |
its played out when u see a group of kids wear the same shit walking around in the mall together..... |
anything that is cheap and not worn by fobs isn't overplayed... ie. urban outfitters, american apparel, but honestly none of their stuff at least for mens is very impressive... |
some time people overpay |
When brown people wear it |
You know a brand is played out when you see an entire asian family at a park or any public space wearing the same brand. American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale (really popular cause its cheap) you know its true!!! |

when vancouver people wear it |
Here's some stuff that will NEVER be played out: Hugo Boss - - - the hugo boss stuff you find at Harry Rosen or the Hugo Boss store, and not boys sco, although there many be some similar items. Versace, Gucci, Chanel, etc etc - - the nice elegant stuff. not the stuff that the kids wear. Georgio Armani - -- not armani exchange GAP, old, navy, BR - -this shiet will be around for ages Levi's Nike, Addidas, umbro, reebok - sports stuff cause we all need it. A&E, Abercrombie - when it's in every US mall, it's gonna be around forever. i think it comes down to the individual. some people can pull it off. . . many cant! example: white surfer dude can wear Hollister, quicksilver, and look totally normal. But same dude tries to wear ed hardy and he might look weird. another ex: Rich looking dude in lambo wears hugo boss suit, can pull it off. cant pull it off: poor asian with toyota corolla rice rocket with Dolce & Gabanna white-t's trying to look hardcore - -- - |
