^little bit of both |
I think something is played, when you see someone that doesn't really have a sense of fashion, but suddenly start wearing it just to fit in. |
when you see a obese little kid(middle school age) who begged their mother to buy them a 200$ CA shirt and rocking it along with his fakeass DG sunglasses out in public (true story) |

I would say a brand is overplayed when you're bored of seeing it. It lost its effect. But its a personal thing. But fashion comes and goes all the time like the mufukin wind. What was cool today is not cool yesterday. Then what was cool yesterday ends up being cool again. |

So by your guys definition "levi's is overplayed? |
levis has withstood the test of time... if CA, or RR is around for 100 years then you dont call it overplayed, you call it a classic |
probably when you have to come on the internet and ask about it being played out |
i fink levis will be around when we r grandpas |
