These are the exact reasons I go to Blaine. You also have the option to go further south to big box stores.

AzNightmare 07-01-2014 09:22 PM

So does this mean my package has arrived??
I checked the tracking for my item.

Haven't received an email from P2P yet. :suspicious:

P2P probably haven't processed it yet, it's probably in a big pile along with all the other packages they receive, give them a few days and if they still don't email/call you then you should call P2P and ask what's up.

Point Roberts is roughly 15km closer than Blaine if you live in Richmond, Vancouver or Burnaby. For everyone East of Burnaby, Blaine is the better option.

For everyone else...well, Point Roberts on Sunday is easy as hell.

15km on the 99 doesnt take very long. compared to driving all through the congested city streets of tsawassen.

and do the shipping places even open on sundays?

J.C 07-01-2014 10:24 PM

P2P usually processes stuff within the same day it arrives for me
often within a few hours it's delievered

All you do is drive down 56th St lol

No. No they don't. Please stay away from PR on Sunday. Nothing to see there.

Yeah, Tsawwassen is crazy busy and congested. Takes all of maybe 5 minutes to drive one 1 end of town to the other...

Lol if you are in Surrey, obviously it makes no sense for you to go to PR. So just keep going to Blaine

Is this usually what happens? That's what I expected.

It's been almost 3 full days, and still haven't received any email.
I created an account and put in my email info, so I'm pretty sure I didn't dungoof on not giving them an email to contact me by. I didn't leave my phone number because I think they charge extra if they have contact me by phone instead of email.

I checked my junkmail as well. Haven't received anything.

I also went to UPS's site under their tracking and put my email in there, and I didn't get any confirmation. So not sure what's going on.

Based on the image I posted above, from both UPS and P2P's site, "DELIVERED" means it's done, right?

Getting kind of impatient with this service, and making me wonder should I have gone with another place.
Anyway, I just sent P2P an email asking to confirm if my package has arrived yet.

UFO 07-02-2014 04:28 PM

That image you posted from p2p's site is basically just a mirror of the info used by UPS. It's not associated with p2p so it doesn't actually mean p2p has signed your package in.

I've had instances where UPS/Fedex/USPS have delivered the item to the wrong package receiving place. So it will show as delivered and signed through tracking, but you will not receive notice because it's not at the right place. Tons of packages go through the 4 places in PR so I wouldn't be surprised by the odd mistake.

p2p are usually quite prompt with processing my stuff too, usually within a few hours.

J.C 07-02-2014 04:35 PM

IIRC i don't get e-mails from p2p
I just login on their site and it tells you

XplicitLuder 07-02-2014 04:52 PM

from new west i still feel like blaine was faster than PR..

also i find TSB shipping > P2P anyday. NEVER had issues and always got emails when my packages arrived. However, i may be a few of the lucky ones lol Wouldnt know how it is nowadays as i use blaine (24/7) simply because...well 24/7 is self explanatory

Where would I go to find this info?
Is the image I posted above something else? Like a mirrored info as UFO said.

So if it really got delivered to the wrong place... :fulloffuck:
:derp: now what?

So I logged in on the P2P site, and there's nothing shown in here. Is this normal?

Just trying to figure out did I do something wrong on my end when signing up, so P2P possibly didn't get my email or register that I'm supposed to be getting something.

Girlfriend uses 24/7 in Blaine and loves it

J.C 07-02-2014 09:04 PM

interesting
i've used them for the past year and never had an issue
i guess an e-mail or call to them is the next option

AzNightmare 07-03-2014 08:59 AM

emailed them, and they said my item is there now.
Must have been some kind of mix up with my overly common name.

PSA: Letter Carrier is shutting down, don't send your stuff there!

Quote:

Closure of the Letter Carrier

To our valued customers

It is critical that you read this entire letter for important dates regarding this announcement.

We regret to inform you that The Letter Carrier will be closing its doors for good on Thursday August 28th. We will stop receiving packages on Saturday August 16th. Any delivery attempts after August 16th will be refused at our facility and will most likely be returned to the sender. This includes all carriers UPS, FedEx and USPS. All packages that are in our facility will be available for pickup during our normal business hours up until Thursday August 28th. Any packages left in our facility after close of business August 28th will either be returned to the sender or turned over to TSB Shipping on Gulf road. Those packages will be subject to TSB Shipping’s terms and conditions and policies.

As much as we would like to continue operating in Point Roberts we were unwilling to purchase the building we were in due to what in our opinion was the horrendous condition of the building. We could not justify spending that amount of money on a building that had been infested with rats the last five years. Although there was an exterminator coming out on a regular basis we literally had rats drag some of the packages off the shelf and chewed into boxes that contained clothing and eaten parts of the clothes. The constant roof leaks which would keep recurring and which may have caused the electric panel to keep popping a breaker was the final straw in this decision. We are of the opinion that there could be a lot of damage done to our customers packages under these circumstances and are unwilling to continue to risk that outcome. The radio towers which are most likely going to be built next door just add a potential health risk that isnt worth taking.

Since the person who did purchase the building has not, to our knowledge, resolved any of these issues and does not seem interested in renewing our lease it left us no choice but to close our doors.

We are currently negotiating a location in Blaine. We cannot provide an address for that location until a lease is signed. We expect to open this new location October 1st. If you are interested in using our services at our new Blaine facility you will need to indicate so by clicking on this link Registration Transfer and filling out the form which only requires your name, email address and phone number. Your current registration information will then be transferred over and you will be emailed the new shipping address for that facility once the lease is signed.

We recommend that if you wish to continue receiving packages in Point Roberts that you begin using one of the following services:

TSB Shipping Plus TSB Shipping Plus

Point to Point Parcel Point to Point Parcel - a complete range of package receiving and shipping services.

Considering that we have over 10000 active customers we realize that there will be a large increase in phone calls as a result of this letter. We will not be able to answer every call since this would result in out failing to provide the service you have come to expect as we wind down our operation. We will do the best we can with the phones.

In closing we want to thank all our loyal customers who helped make our company a success. If someone should reach out to you and tell you that we have reopened in Point Roberts please be aware that it is not true, I can assure you that we will never operate out of this Point Roberts address again after August 28th.

Affectionately yours,

Les and Nancy Lomedico

Did you use a middle name along with your first and last name? If not, you're suppose to.

Hey guys, first time planning on shipping to the states.
I plan on using TSB, what do I have to do to get my package?
Do i need to sign up at TSB? Let them know I'm shipping something?

Or do I just buy the item, use their address, then pick up when the item arrives?
Thanks, sorry if this has been answered before
