I've been waitlisted for the Automotive Tech-Toyota Foundation Program hoping to get in by September. Hope there are some RS'ers in the program if and when I actually get in.

I was wondering, does anyone know if the Foundation program credits are transferrable to a first-year program to SFU Surrey upon completion? I'm thinking of having a history major so if need be, I can go into teaching as a fallback if automotive service tech doesn't work out.

lilaznviper 01-25-2010 07:09 PM

Richard Chau, Bruce Link, Mirella Gutica, Tim Kosub, and a couple of others. I'm also doing dual option on HCI. I find HCI fun, its not really something I worry about.

Originally I was majoring in network admin dual option database. But I couldn't stand aman, and decided to switch major... Other than that its all good

Sooo choked. I was working on a project in the library and decided I should probably move my car (around 6) because that lot is pretty shady. I guess I was too late.:(

^I'm CST First year second term.

I'm thinking you should be in the same english lectures as me right? Susan Woo?

Drove to school for the second time today, I got lucky yesterday because I got someones spot real close to the gym. Today was terrible, I ended up parking really close to moscrop haha.

lilaznviper 03-03-2010 03:17 PM

i found out that after 815 you will have to park far away so if you come early you will get a closer spot

!Nhan 03-03-2010 03:20 PM

How close is close? I've driven to school for 1030 classes and park like a 3 minute walk from the library

I'm in set 2B.

Got to school at like before 8:15 and parking was a breeze, barely even 4 mins away from the gym haha.

about there
but only if u got morning classes. most people leave by 1030 or 1130 and you get free parking if they paid for the spot but usually the impark guy comes at around 10am so you will not get caught

I'm not sure if you guys have lots of teamwork in your sets but if you do... How do you deal with the idiots and slackers?? I still havent found an effective way to tell them that they suck and they need to improve their quality of work.

lilaznviper 03-09-2010 10:23 PM

when i have group projects to do, i pretty much go do the work or gtfo
if you can't do that then pretty much get them to do something easy or speak with the instructor

and to tell them they suck
just say you suck and tell them how hard everyone else is working and the work will not get a quality mark

thats not very diplomatic. thats also how you burn bridges haha. I'm talking about motivation techniques or subtle kind of things.
