Yeah there's a few of us on here taking it. As long as you keep up with your work it will be fine for the most part. I guess I should've followed my own advice.:p

I got a parking ticket today. Its my first actual one, should I pay for it even if I'm done school next week? Will they actually send debt collector people after me?

I've read that you can also just switch license plate? Does that still work?

if you dont pay, you might be not able to reinsure your vehicle, or get your licensed renewed. Impark is the toughest. I would call them and just tell them that their machines are screwed up, and it ate your money. Seemed to work for me.

lilaznviper 05-20-2010 09:53 PM

^impark is a private company and is seperate from icbc\city so they can't do shit to you but tow your car
just do a search on here since its been talked about a lot

false. I have two outstanding tickets and I reinsured my car last month.

Anyone taking BLAW 3100 in the summer or have the book for it?

Complete BS. There is no way to tell who was driving the car at the time, and what if you were driving someone elses car? They can't let someone else not insure because of somethign you did. Impark is the toughest, but toughest in a lets say a pack of cute little rabbits. They can't do shit.

nabs 05-23-2010 02:31 PM

no need to claim that i'm speaking bullshit. I said that if not paying you're tickets for impack "might" affect you like a city traffic violation. Impark is not governmental, but they are the biggest private company for parking (they basically own half of vancouver - i see impark lots all over the place). I've heard from friends that you could possibly be affected through ICBC. Is it true, or not? i'm not entirely sure. When i got a ticket at impark, i just called in to say that their machines were malfunctioning. It worked, my ticket was cancelled. However i was getting lots of mail saying i had an outstanding ticket fine due. I have to call them to clarrify my cancellation number. They are a big company, and are busy, but if they wanted to they could probably call a collection agency or something.

anyone here rite now?

I highly doubt it's true. I just changed my license plate and it's all good. Got a few letters in the mail but the collection agency can only call you and try to get you to pay it won't affect your credit rating or anything.
