Not only are the new plans shitty, you don't earn Fido dollars anymore :rukidding: |
I have the $55 retention plan with $5 credit. 3GB 200 wd LD Canada wide World text CID/VM/Circle I'm due in about 4 months and already using an unlocked phone. How should I approach it? At the end I want to keep it status quo and get a subsidized iphone 6. |
Do you guys know if I can sign a 2 yr contract to get the s6 with my old smart plan. Instead of their stupid plans now. Will they force you to change if I want a new phone |

I dont even know how these companies get away with shit like this. bullshit revised plans one after the other |
i was given a $10 credit for my two year plan which ends tomorrow. called them hoping to renew the credit, but they wouldn't budge. they would only give me $5 instead for one year. was anyone successful in getting more? |
Anyone ever get free data from Fido? Randomly got a text from Fido saying that I'm gonna get an extra 1GB of data each month for a year as long as I keep paying by the month or if I resign a contract. My contract is already over btw. Rather they offer me free caller ID so I can pay less as I already have 6GB of data. |
My friend did 2 weeks ago. I got rid of fido for koodo this week. |
Renewed a couple months ago. Took them a few tries but eventually they gave me a plan that I was happy with. 6GB 1000 weekday minutes Unlimited circle calling (how does this even work anymore?) Unlimited weekends 5pm Unlimited Canada LD Unlimited worldwide text/pic/video CID Voicemail $65 a month...BUT...they credited my account $240, waived fees, and gave me $100 credit towards a phone. Originally they were going to use my Fido dollars to pay for a phone but I keep that $100 too. "For next time..." they said. So that's basically a $10 bill credit each month for 24 months so my bill is $55. My invoice for next month is $-90.87 :lol TL;DR: $65 a month - $10 bill credit = $55 + tax a month for voice + text + 6GB + free phone. Fido customer since ~1997. |
that's an amazing plan ^ |

I'm paying $60 a month for essentially a similar deal. Difference is I'm getting unlimited local calling. Circle calling is unlimited calls to other Fido users on the same account. |

im still on my cheap plan: 200 weekday local minutes Unlimited Eve/Wknd local minutes Unlimited Fido to Fido local calls Enhanced Voice Messaging 2,500 text messages from Canada to Canadian wireless numbers Expanded Network - Call Waiting - Conference Call Enhanced Voice Messaging (English) 6 GB Internet option Premium Text Msg Block BONUS: Unltd Nation. Talk&Text <- they texted me this last week, wish i got the bonus 1GB that some people got. $45 + tax impossible to get a new phone though, when i checked last month it was $450 for an iphone 6+64gb with no change in contract, but now its almost $800 for the phone with no change in contract. |

I got tired of Fido. Some people here have been lucky with decent retention plans...Most have not in the last year, regardless of whether they're happy or a not. A quick browse through the history of this thread will show you what REAL retention plans were like. |

400 Weekday CANADA WIDE Unlimited incoming Unlimited text Unlimted Eve/weekend start @ 7 I think... Unlimited F2F Mini voicemail + Caller ID 6 GB Internet $65/mo... my $10 credit expired last summer. I'm on m2m now. I work up North in FSJ. Fido is great in the city but I lose connection or very weak everywhere else. Can I transfer the plan to my dad? and he would like to keep his number or will he have to take over my number |
fido sucks balls...looks like i'll be porting over to rogers via cityfone...same plan that i have but $30 after taxes for unlimited this and that voice only... |

I tried calling in and they can't do anything about it other than change my plan to another max plan which is even more expensive. whack af. Pretty stupid of me to be in a rush to get the s6 with a shitty plan |

finally ditched fido for cityfone. Unfortunately, they didn't want to keep existing customers happy anymore... |
^ tell me more about cityfone. i'm planning to ditch ROgers so i don't have ot pay 79 dollars for 1GB data. |
They're using rogers service as well so its indirectly helping them out lol. If you use a lot of data then they might not be best for you. I would look at mobi/wind. If you are just using it primarily for voice then their plans are very competetive I suggest look at their site here: Rate Plans | Cityfone Cell Phones |
Other than the 50% off for 3 months what's the appeal? The plans don't really look much better than what Fido has. |
