In some spots. I get slow data. Wether in using note 3 or s8+. I can't complain though . Paying $50 for 5 gig

its not for everyone, test it out to see if signal is good enough in your main areas.

it fit my needs perfectly.

My gf and I have the same phone, I put her on a corporate plan with rogers the same as mine ($50 for 5g / unlimited everything else) and things were good, never any reception, connection issues ect.

I asked her if she wanted to switch to fido to get 6gb for 55 dollars instead and also unlimited everything else. She said sure so I made the switch for her, everything worked out great, but now her reception and data connection is much slower than mine.

The only variable that changed here was the carrier. Fido must be the culprit.

Yup, when I checked my bill few days ago, I noticed it was more then my usual.. lol I dnt use my phone much so I couldnt have gone over on data.. I logged in and saw my plan went to $45... :okay:

If you're not currently on a contract they can change it whenever they want.

If you guys call in, you could get a $5 credit / month for 9 months (as compensation for the slight increase in price)

Or, they will offer you a $55 6gig plan. or $65 pulse plan with an iphone 6 on contract.

I took the $5 credit lol.

Yes friend asked about it too. She was told basically if you want the iPhone X on contract switch to one of the big 3. Pretty bad customer service if you ask me.

I think Fido is offering the same plan except theirs is 10 gigs. Rogers is 5 gigs + 5 gigs

Fido just gave me 5gb extra for 24 months at no added cost. Logged into my account via website and the offer popped up.

Fido's raised the price of the 4gb for $45 for a while now. I've been paying $50 for that plan.


Anyone know how the reception will be for shawmobile users? Will it be a hit or miss like the other small companies such as Wind, Freedom, etc? So often, my friend's who use Wind will have no signal and I'll have signal when we're standing in the same area. The $0 for talk and text is quite appealing for the elderly who don't use data.
