Because of how our Canadian dollar has been doing, the price was hiked 300$

Anyone know what codec is used for the video? AVC?

from what I've seen, it seems to be .mov files, not sure about the codec tho. AVC the same thing as H264? I dont know my codecs that well :(

you know, I'm actually really disapointed with the continus speed of 3.9fps. My xti is only marginally better. The 40d and 50d are both sitting around the 6fps. :(

That's not what the 5D is for. This is why I'm keeping my 1D Mk II too.

do you know if it's still only 3.9 fps if you're shooting in sraw1 or sraw2?

I would think it would be the same principle as both my 300D and 40D - the max framerate doesn't change with the image format, just the max number you can shoot sequentially before the buffer fills.
