Nothing wrong with McDonalds, and in fact if you're eating buns, they are way better than Subway. Subway will just stuff you with useless bread, at least at McD's you can get a good amount of meat.

I'll second the grilled chicken wraps. It's a decent snack on the go. At least it looks and tastes like real chicken.

Yeah that's not very healthy. Instead, try a double quarter pounder, lose half the bun, chicken nuggets (or 'chicken selects' whatever), diet pop or water. Lots of protein, fat, and little carbs. That will help you GROW!

Nothing wrong with McDonald's if you're not cutting weight, as long as you use your brain. Leave out the fries, ditch half the bun, and it's awesome

I don't think it's a problem, as long as you are not eating there 8 times a day, only drinking diet coke.

LOL McDicks as bulking food??? Goodluck trying to keep the fat down. I just load up on carbs from chicken breast, pasta, rice and of course oats. Buy a box of chicken breast from Costco and grill them @ home. I would avoid the pop as well. A good weight gainer on the side for those days when you cant get your calories in.

Why the fuck would you want to keep fat down? Keep fat up! Keep protein up! Keep calories up! It's the carbs (from starch and grains) that you want to keep down.

Chicken breasts? You might as well eat paper. Go buy a whole chicken, or even just chicken thighs with the skin on. Tastes MUCH better than breasts, and provides more good calories and healthy fat.

Eating a bunch of fat-free garbage, then gorging on carbohydrate-and-garbage-fat-soaked "weight gainer" is just about the stupidest advice I can imagine someone giving for someone trying to bulk up.

eat pita's or go home.

I eat alot of chicken breasts but then again im cutting... i'm down to 235, down from 260. Didn't relize how fat I got till I came back from nam. >>CHEER<<

My diet isn't even superstrict, I gorged on a cupcake yesterday, and I eat some questionable things sometimes, like a piece of chocolate.

I figure 30 more pounds to go.

Gotta disagree on the whole wheat bread thing though, nothing wrong with complex carbs, even if you are cutting. I've lost weight the first time eatting at subway and eating at home making turkey sandwhiches.

It all depends on what your goals are, and how significantly you want to accomplish them. You can lose weight simply by moving more and eating less. Or you can lot a LOT more weight by having a structured 5-day workout plan including a lot of weight lifting and short cardio, with the perfect no-grain, high protein, moderate fat diet that has just the right amount of calories.

Grains/Starches are still evil, and will significantly slow down your weight loss. But it's not to say that they will completely reverse your efforts. They should really be cut out of any eating plan, whether cutting, bulking, or everything in between. But that's a whole other can o' worms

Wtf....this is the recommended ratio for bulking carbs/protien/fat = 40/40/20 or 50/30/20.....at least people on bodybuilding.com. Sure you'll gain weight with just fatty foods.....but good weight though? I mean, I get my share of fats too but from milk and eggs.

That's because you are thinking the old, ignorant way: that eating fat is what makes people fat. That is an outdated notion, and the reason why those ratios are being replaced. Instead of the "zone", you should be considering where your carbs come from. If you do that, your body will be in excellent shape - cholesterol will be better, you will be leaner, stronger, and full of energy all day long.

I lost 80 pounds in 5 months doing what I did before (eating whole wheat pasta's and eating subway sandwhichs) granted I became one skinny fuck and im retaining alot of muscle mass right now.

I did eat less carbs though, and i hit the gym alot.
