Basically just go there every week and use the pressure washer to get some dirt/salt off.

Its a self-serve wash, you just drive into the bay and go up to the machine to get tokens... $2 for 2 tokens (4 mins).
Thanks for the information!

So is each token 4 minutes, or two tokens for 4 minutes?

I just went to powerwash my car. $2.00 for 4 minutes. My car has several coats of Zaino and wax, so all of the dirt/salt came off really well. The water freezes instantly, so you have to keep it at one area for a few seconds. I just have beads of water that is frozen now, but no big deal as the salt is all gone.

I keep my car super dirty until I see 1C or higher

with everything in ice form and the car parked outside, it doesn't do any damage to the car until everything thaws. Ice does not have mobile ions and cannot do any damage to your metal.

so wash it when it does get warm. Otherwise better not touch it. And when you do, use ample amount of water to clean wheel wells and little gaps and creases in your car. take your time and do it right.

i have keyless, but when things freeze up so bad the lock motors can't move. i've had to use the key to open manually many times... heating up the blade with ciggy lighter has been the ghetto trick of late

http://www.easywash.com is back in business... something about the landlord pulling a fast one on their lease or sth and did an illegal shutdown, but some sort of legal action from the business owners sorted things out.

Go to EasyWash in North Van near the second narrows bridge. They just re-opened, I like them because they do an underbody spray wash as you drive in...every other touchless wash just sprays the sides as you go in...

the biggest grief i have with easywash is that the "underbody spray" dosen't really spray the underbody because the sprayers come from the sides of the car. esso, for example, has a sprayer that you drive over as you enter the bay. also for the same service, esso is almost $2 cheaper. also, the wheel cleaner sucks, and you have to clean your wheels with a brush yourself.

however, easywash is great because they have 3 wash bays and you can pay from the lineup, whereas others only have the single bay, and you have to run to the cashier at some point and line up to pay. also, if you're not happy with how clean your car is washed, you can consult with the easywash attendant and if they are in agreement they will immediately wash your car again with the same option you paid for

It's never really a good idea to spray ample amount of water at the hot downpipe and cat on the underside of your vehicle....just wait for the warm day to finally come and pressure wash the bottom side WITHOUT driving it in the past hour....

better than ice cold water sure but water will flash boil if it hits a running car's catalytic converter anyway.

Yeah that's the aim, the full wax/clay etc detail will be when the sun comes back out of course but yeah since temperature is above 0 it's a good chance to get rid of all the salt on my car, and for 5$ can't complain.

$5? I highly doubt that its 5 bucks with a wash with underbody spray
I usually hit the esso on marine and fraser since its most convenient on the weekends and it costs $15+ for a wash with underbody spray

Even the basic wash is like $7.99
