well, aside from the fact that they filmed that one episode of 21 jumpstreet there, they really had nothing going for them
gangster episode though

^
I digress. Their burgers were at one point, very good until they sold it to the Asian owners who nickled and dimed on everything possible.

!SG 12-21-2008 04:36 AM

yeah, but their orange milk shakes were still good. i think they got it from the same supplier.

Fat burger comes to mind. They're in langley at 64th and 200 st. I'm not too fond of them. Carl Jr's will be opening up (hopefully soon) at hwy 10 and 152 I think.

skholla 12-21-2008 09:59 AM

Gourmet Burgers
1. Morton's The Steakhouse (special only available on select Sundays)
2. Red Onion
3. Vera's Burger Shack & Splitz Grill
4. Moderne Burger (although prices got jacked way up)
5. ... any local pub burger

Crappy fast food burgers
1. In & Out
2. Fat Burger
3. Carl's Jr.
4. Burger King
5. McDonald's

welfare 12-21-2008 01:48 PM

Read many mixed reviews of Splitz, really hit and miss...moreso miss then hit. Never tried so I can't say. I heard that the Whistler location is really good.

Also, in the works in a new burger joint just North of King Ed on Main, Copper Watertower or something like that? There's a big banner that's hanging off one rope the last time I drove past it. Not sure when it's due to open.

Bender Unit 12-21-2008 03:46 PM

^ I tried Splitz in both Vancouver & Whistler. They were average IMO.
I will pick Vera over Splitz.
They are pretty close in quality. Make to Order everytime.

Jermyzy 12-21-2008 04:15 PM

I tried Vera's on Graville and 60-something, was pretty good

Wasn't there a place at 152nd and highway 10 before that was supposed to be very good, but eventually had to close b/c the people who owned the land wanted to develop it? Never tried, but I heard it was good

The Boonie Burger is soooo good but so filling. I couldn't even eat the fries after I was done with the burger. Wow now I am craving one :p

that would be the rodeo drive in :(

LiquidTurbo 12-24-2008 03:49 PM

Vera's is so overhyped and overpriced for what it is.. imo.

I like Red Onion

bbbj 12-25-2008 02:17 AM

When you start adding all the stuff onto your burger at Vera it can get pricy =T

yep Coppertank.... new location on Main St coming soon..

mako 12-25-2008 11:54 PM

Coppertank is more known for their pizzas than their burgers

but their sliders are pretty darn good though

Ya, that's the one. The banner was all mangled, only hanging on one side so I didn't catch the name completely. Also thought I saw the word burger in there somewhere also so I assumed it was a burger joint. *shrug*

raygunpk 12-26-2008 01:52 PM
