Nvasion 12-21-2008 05:52 PM

my celica was driving over burrard bridge today going about 10km/h ... lol feel bad for the people behind me. drove from fairmont hotel to aobut main and 19th.. took aobut 1 hour

cococly 12-21-2008 06:18 PM

How's it like helping the municipals to plow the snow :)

i have 12.5cm ground clearance =)

SHIFT_drift 12-21-2008 06:39 PM

low cars are just as easy to drive in the snow as any other... i was driving around with my lip on for a while... then took it off this afternoon, still plowing without it... passing 4wd cars, no probs... its all about proper tires, momentum, and keeping braking distance... 20km/h is retarded. oh, and my car is rwd.

Eff-1 12-21-2008 06:48 PM

My car is easy to drive and I'm snow tire equipped. But my problem is no ground clearance makes for bad noises when you're scraping the snow or you drive over those ice chunks. Also not a fan of the rough ride when driving over hard packed and icy roads.

From now on my car stays parked!

Lomac 12-21-2008 07:20 PM

Both my old Jetta GTX and GTI were far too low. Certainly made for some, er... intense situations when I came across a snow drift higher than an inch. :lol

The snow is already above the end of the front lip spoiler in this picture. :(

poweredbyph 12-21-2008 10:27 PM

^^del sol?

illicitstylz 12-21-2008 10:39 PM

absolutely terrible experience, good thing i didn't hit anyone, but the small streets to get into my complex, the snow was piled up past my sideskirts and i had only so much momentum to break through that lol.

good thing a passerby helped me out!

RWD + Snowtires, anyone get stuck yet because the snow is too high and the rear wheels are lifted up off the ground?

ShyGuy 12-22-2008 04:58 PM

i helped push out a is250 with snow tires today...so yes...they will get stuck in this kinda snow. It's just too deep.

nickmak 12-22-2008 07:18 PM

i took my lip off last night and the rest of the car is still too low. i get beached with all the snow under the car and i don't have spanner wrenches for my coilovers. got stuck 2 times on the way to work and i got stuck really good on my way home. and those whale ass ice balls.. oh god, i smoked so many today, looks like i'll be replacing suspension shit in the spring. definitely bent my left front rim too. for anyone driving around richmond, watch out at williams and shell road by the train tracks, those ice balls are dominant.

a 4x4 is so tempting right now..

johny 12-22-2008 07:31 PM

the roads from my house to my work have been bare the whole time. don't know what you guy's problems are. maybe you need to move outa the side streets and take the plowed roads :D :D

GordonTse 12-22-2008 07:32 PM

got stuck in my alley this morning, had to get my dad to drive me to work.. but did manage to get back in my garage after some help pushing from my dad and neighbour. and shoveling the snow off drive way..
