Whats Langara like compared to Kwantlen? Are the class schedules like 3 hour per week for a class like Kwantlen?

I've had one class last sem that was once a week but it was a 3 hour lecture.

Depends on the classes.

Typically the hours are:
- two days a week, two hours a day
- four days a week, one hour a day
- one day a week, three hours a day

There might be more in a other fields which I'm not in so I can't comment on that.

Just listing off the course schedules that I've had:

4 x 50min
2 x 1hr 50min
2 x 1hr 25min (Peace and Conflict Studies [PCCN])
1 x 2hr 50min (Philosophy in the evening)
1 x 3hr 25min (English in the evening)
3 x 1hr 50min (Two lectures, one lab)
2 x 1hr 50min; 1 x 50 min (One of the lectures is 50min, the other lecture and lab are 1hr 50min)


The 1hr 50min blocks may seem to drag along at times, but I prefer them to the 50min blocks. 50min often means material needs to be crammed in. It was tough in English when we had an in-class essay and the prof sometimes took up 20 minutes at the start of the lesson talking, leaving us rushing and the prof keeping us in late so we got the full 45min. Unfortunately I had a class right after English, so I'd have to rush to finish. In political science, sometimes we would get into heated discussion, only to realize we'd taken up majority of the class time.

It's all in the instructor's control, though.

- two days a week, two hours a day + one 2 hour lab (most science courses)
- three days a week, one hour a day + one 2 hour lab (pretty rare)
- four days a week, one hour a day + one 2 hour lab

^ Got mine at Soundsgood in Coquitlam a few years back, they're really flimsy and both of mine broke with barely any use. :speechless:

i once saw the chinese club stand outside the cafe. the girls were too ugly so i didnt even bother. these guys gotta take some market research classes to know that good looking girls attract people to see what they have to offer.
