i have the hori stick that goes for $50 on amazon..and got it for $45 taxes in with the $10 off new account...is it any good?

i can't justify shelling out $100 for controller on a $60 game u know

Oshin 02-17-2009 10:50 PM

lol the hori stick on playasia is going for $120 or so. I'm still thinking if its worth getting the stick, cause if you buy a stick for yourself and when a friend comes over and he has to use the Dual Shock 3 or w/e. Just doesn't seem right. If I buy one, I gota buy two. Good investment towards future fighting games though imo, like Tekken 6.

does anyone know about the quality of the Virtua Fighter 5 Fighting sticks? wasnt that made by Hori as well?

i think i saw one of the stores from crystal mall or parker place selling it for $60

but ya, i was thinking of the same thing too, if i buy just one arcade stick, b pointless to have some kind of tournament pary with friends or sumthing and have the other one play with a controller.. gotta buy 2.. but wow. soo much $$$ investment..

skholla 02-18-2009 09:35 AM

i understand the issue about only having one joystick but i looked at it this way... i could either buy two $60 joysticks and one would collect dust when i dont have company over, or i could buy one nice $100-150 joystick and use it all the time, no money wasted collecting dust. plus when i do have company over or if i were to have a tournament party, my friends that are serious street fighters would buy/bring they own joysticks. look at real tournament competitors, they bring their own custom stick to the match.

nope, but i have a pair of street fighter 15th annv controllers for sale. they have the same sega saturn layout and are wired for the sony ps2. all you need to make these work are two cheapo ps2-->usb adapters. take a look and make me an offer if interested...
