Looking at your pics thread, it really seems like they built the car with tuning in mind- TONS of room for a nice equal length tube manifold and turbo, and it's basically the same bottom end as the new Evo. :D I would think 350whp on a GT30R or 50 Trim T3/T4 should be pretty straight forward, assuming the engine management can be sorted out, which I doubt is that bad. Mechanically it's a slam dunk. Big evil front mount intercooler, stainless header, 3" exhaust. oh yeah. |
oh yeah except if you go through all these Hyundai will void your warranty. But then they do know you wanna mod it so they'll sell mod parts through the dealership to raep you for extra cash. That's the only way to keep the warranty. What Hyundai should do is release stage performance package like Mopar. Just collect some aftermarket parts, call it "stage x" and mark it up. Will sell like hotcake. |

Wow that IS win. Actually if the front structure of the coupe and the sedan is the same....Will they release an I-4 turbo version of the sedan later? Could be that Lotus built Opel sedan thing all over again....or a 335i rival. turbo FR sedan is cool. |

The rest of the car's warranty and recall stuff etc all remains intact, they don't excommunicate you from the dealership, but obviously you can't expect them to be the insurance policy for your 25psi of boost firebreathing hyundai either. :haha: Typically if you're really modding it the car is getting more preventaive maintenance and attention to detail than a standard one would. So the warranty is and isn't an issue depending on your mindset I suppose, IMO. |
Well you bought the car with portion of it expected to be paid for insurance. |
