I agree MJ can say whatever he likes after all he has accomplished. LOL. That’s not the point. I was just simply showing you that there’s a cocky element to him. I know in that speech he says you can’t compare eras, but come on, he’s just sugarcoating the fact that he thinks he’s the best player and you can’t compare no Kobe or Lebron to him. What I think you were trying to say was that you haven’t ever seen Kobe or MJ do circus type things like dancing on the sidelines or degrade a ballboy. These things aren’t about cockiness as you have mistaken them for, but more so being mature and respect. |
i realize "THE" NBA now is more relaxed, and more about having fun. Where before it was more, its game on guys! put ur game on face and play |
[QUOTE=Mugen EvOlutioN;6930619]really? dribbling it out is called respect? lol i didnt know that i think the proper term for that is called : wasting time, pointless :haha:[/QUOTE Haha, but this is a sport.. The other team could have made the lead even bigger, etc.... |
Found a Michael Jackson remix for you James fans :) and my fault, it was actually just 19pt lead. If showing off the other team is not cocky to you guys then I don't know what cocky means. I guess i have to get a dictionary. Thank me! |
Do any of you guys actually play basketball? if so, where? Used to go down UBC but not sure how it is now |
used to played on the school team back in HS now just once in awhile at SFU during summer time LOLL Lebron should be a dancer hahaha |
Same, used to play in HS. Play sometimes at BCIT and SFU. |
I never played for the school team but people told me that I should have. I regularly play on thursdays with my co workers. I used to play everyday but its died down to once a week now because all my friends are either lazy as fuck, busy with work, or their gf/wives. |
I played for the HS team back in Gr.12.. the only time I tried out lol.. figured it was the last year so whatever right.. Post it here if you guys will be playing on a weekend or something...shoot around or whatever is good. You guys wear your LeBron jerseys and I'll wear my Kobe or Jordan...;) haha jk |

I will wear my Duke Grant Hill jersey lol...my favourite player ever. Any good outdoor courts that don't have garbage bag rims and also have nets put up in Bby/Vancouver area? |
I don't live in Vancouver so can't help here.. but we usually drive out to UBC/Bonsor as we prefer indoor better....If you guys want, we can definitely set something up.. the weather is getting nicer.... On a side note...NBA JAM is coming back :) http://www.gamespot.com/wii/sports/nbajam/video/6253615 |
lol, some ppl think basketball players are paid to be nice to everyone |
The fact that they use the phrase "The Michael Jordan of" (for example, "The Michael Jordan of Snowboarding") to express greatness and being the best says a lot already. The same way we would use Wayne Gretzky from Hockey, Michael Schumacher from F1, and Pelé from Soccer/Futbol. Michael Jordan (at least, to me) is the GREATEST OF ALL-TIME. He has every right to be "arrogant". To me, that's just a different way of expressing a form of confidence. If he is the best at what he does, and he has made his own name synonymous with the actual sport and the word "greatness" , why shouldn't he? Kobe Bryant is also one of the best players to ever hold a basketball. He is also very 'cocky' in his own way, and he also has the right to do so. He lead his team to 4 championships (with help of course. But even Jordan needed help with his 6 championships), and he is currently also the best Laker right now. But he is NOT Jordan. Anyone who compares Jordan with great players such as Kobe Bryant and Lebron James is fighting a lost cause. It's just not right to do. Jordan IS basketball. Like NBA Legend and former Laker Earvin "Magic" Johnson once said, "There's Michael Jordan, and then there is the rest of us." |

When you are a leader of a team, there is simply no time to act your age. You have to be much more a mature player especially when everyone watches you anyways, jsut started watching the sa - dal game. I WANT A GAME 7 :D EDIT: G.Hill is a monster ! |

Lebron can take a shit in the middle of the court and the NBA and Nike would still be riding his dick till he retires now let's enjoy some classic Kobe |

I am just saying if you want other people to consider you as a good player on a contending team then you better show maturity within yourself and as within the team. Like what you said, at the end of the day, these NBA players are humans. Yes, but when they are on court, or when the cameras on them, they are not also NBA players but role models as well. |
I'm sorry but that's a fail.. Do you honestly think he did that on purpose? lmao.. I admit it's a fucking funny video tho next......... |
