why are you always dissing kobe? you obviously don't know the game if you're going by stats. just because you only have 2 assists doesn't mean squat. doesn't mean you're not helping the offence. doesn't mean you are either. same with the rest of the team shot better than kobe? who gives a shit. depends on the offence, your role in the offence. kobe's a scorer period. and if kobe had great outside 3 point shooters like lebron always has on his teams, then kobe can average 8-9 assists a gm.
the problem is pau gasol shot 5-9 for a measly 10 pts, he should be a fuking man and be aggressive and take more than 9 shots to help out kobe, that's my point. he's supposed to be robin to kobe's batman but right now he's more like kickass' bitch.

"Kobe's a scorer period"? So are you saying he's not a great facilitator? Cause I totally agree.
And are you suggesting that Steve Blake, Derek Fisher, Shannon Brown, Matt Barnes, etc. are not great three point shooters? Hmmm...

Slicer only posts when the lakers lose just so he can bring up how "bad" kobe plays lol... it's getting old quick and actually annoying.... start bashing Kobe during the playoffs where it all matters to them...Do you think that they care if they go 50-32 for the season? I think not.. as long as they are 100% healthy coming in to the playoffs... I bet you that is their goal this year..

I don't know what you're talking about, most of my bashing on Kobe is towards his performance in the playoffs...and I only bashed on him now because someone else was quick to point out that Kobe is doing fine and that the Lakers' issue is that nobody else is helping him out. Hmmmm, that's interesting because when I mention that Kobe shoots poorly and the rest of his team bails him out, all I hear from you Kobe lovers is "It's a team game"......Funny how that works, but that's what I'd expect from the typical ignorant Kobe fan.

Keep in mind, I don't hate on Kobe, I just hate on his dumb fans. He has been arguably the best player of the decade, but he is simply not as good as the average Kobe fan thinks he is.

I think the Lakers are really gonna regret having Kobe in a few years. He has played over 1200 games just like KG and we can already see whats happening to KG - the miles are just catching up to them. I don't think they can win with Kobe just taking jumpshots. Imo, they need to rely on Gasol more, they can't have him shoot 8 times while Kobe gets 20 shots.

kobe's not a great passer..he's a good passer when he wants to be though. steve blake's a good 3pt shooter, as is derek fisher... shannon brown's getting better but i wouldn't say he's great...and matt barnes??? i hope you're joking.

lebron's had better shooters on his team, especially 3pt specialists such as pavlovic, damon jones, daniel gibson, wally szerbiak?, donyell marshall, mo williams, anthony parker.
while kobe's stuck with chucky atkins, devean george, brian cook, sasha vujacic, vladmir radmanovich, maurice evans, smush parker, jordan farmar...i gotta stop because i can't stop laughing.
besides, anyone knows that mike brown couldn't coach, he just did everything thru lebron. the offence was just give it to lebron. that's why he gets so many assists. with the lakers...there's the triangle offence where the guards don't handle the ball that much..it goes thru the post (pau gasol, bynum). that's why gasol gets more assists than kobe sometimes and he's a good passing big man.

Kobe was trying last night. The rest of the team just didn't have energy to play.

Mid 3rd quarter he punched his bench chair really hard. He was fustrated. I was about 50 feet away.
Then again... Memphis wanted it way more than the Lakers. In 90% of the time outs, phil jackson don't even talk to the players. They just chat amongst themselves and laughing... Down 15-20 points.

Dude....all I read from your posts once the lakers loses is how kobe shot poorly.. how he didn't pass enough or whatever... but when they win.. I rarely see you on.. but when they lose, you are first to post about it...

You say you hate the kobe fans? but dude...we are a fan for a reason.... unlike you,.. you are probably have been a miami heat "fan" for soooo long now right?

LeBron is the best now though. . after all, he led the Cavs to the NBA finals...... I lost track though, where does he play now? lol

Wade is my favourite player, but I definitely don't think he's better than LeBron. They are close but LeBron just seems to be slightly better overall. You're dunk comments are stupid because they are irrelevant. Calling him boring is a pretty dumb statement as well, not to mention also irrelevant as to how good a player is.
No, LeBron doesn't have the best shot in the world, but it is better than Wade's shot...And how quickly someone gets to the hoop does not define how good he is...

Now that I think of it, I'm not quite sure why I even responded to your post. It's all over the place.
You make a statement saying "wade > lebron" and back it up with "lebron is boring to watch." Excellent points bro...You've convinced me.

I dislike Lebron mainly due to his game and his off the court WTFness, but I (or anyone) still have to admit that he is the best in the league. Guys like Kobe and Wade have totally maximized their potential and have exhausted almost every avenue to expand their game that made them the best they ever can be. Lebron on the other hand has obvious flaws to his game after 7,8 years, but if he wanted to, he can easily take over any game simply because he is that talented. Having said that, it annoys me to no end that you never hear him work on his game in the summer and come back with a new move, and till this day his point of attack is essentially the same as it was in Cleveland.

In a semi related note, a guy like Derek Rose has come back every year with something new. He's learned to take over at opportune times, changed his jumpshot and extended his range.

And a side note, people like Michael Jordan didn't have the jumpshot he had in college, he "learned" a new shot, so did Tony Parker. Karl Malone doesn't handle the ball.
I guess I'm comparing D12 ( now in his early 20s ) to the David Robinson (pre back injury), CB and Karl Malone when they were at their prime in the 90s ( when I vividly remembered them ). Perhaps, those guys had some learning curve as well early in their NBA careers that I never noticed (since I was too young)

Sorry, I didn't mean Malone frequently handling the ball like Magic did, but on occasion, carrying the ball on the fast break from an outlet pass or a steal. Quite a site to see -I wouldn't want to be in front of that freight train.

anywayssss...

the Knicks look like they can be real contenders, if they can snag Melo before the deadline i'd put them as favorites

i'm dying to see how far Orlando can make this this time around, this year's playoffs will be the best since i dont know when, both conferences are super competitive, i love it

I wouldn't call the Knick real contenders quite yet. They really have only beaten one true championship contender and that's the Spurs last night. Apart from that, they have lost to all true contenders.

Those true contendors being: Boston twice, and Miami once.

We should see within the next week or so if they are true contenders when they face LA, Utah, Spurs again, Miami again, and Dallas.

If they can win at least 2 of those games, I will classify them as contenders.

The only true contenders right now I would say are:

From the east:

Boston, Miami, and Orlando after their two trades.

From the west:

Spurs, Dallas, Utah, and LA.

Chicago and New York are both still pretenders in my opinion.

^ True Contenders

Miami, Boston, San An, LA

That's it

The Knicks wouldn't be a contender even if by some stroke of miracle they got CP3 as well this year along with Melo. There's things in the NBA called defense and rebounding.....(NOT dissing you Slicer just addressing ur quoted point =) )
