xsteinbachx 03-09-2009 04:23 PM

00 civic

chwks13 03-09-2009 05:11 PM

90 Civic H/B B18A1 swapped

420 kms to 40 L, 95% city, driving it pretty hard

pharmed 03-10-2009 10:28 AM

97 Civic

I get around 470 km/40L tank on a B16 in the city, but I haven't really had a chance to take the car out on the highway yet. How's the mileage going long distance, since it's running at a high rev?

if you drive on the highway with a consistent speed of probably 140, you'll get atleast 550 to the tank upwards to 700 lol.

I think I achieved around 6xx kms / 42 L in my 01 integra going to Calgary. Basic mods, i/h/e.

GordonTse 03-11-2009 10:20 PM

about 400km when the light comes on. about 40-42L. short distance drive <10min to work. not fully warmed up. vtec on weekends.

yameen 03-14-2009 07:52 PM

i have a month new 2009 civic sport and we barely, just barley get 380-400km for a full tank, which is about 50L tank. is this okay for a new car? it's automatic transmission, and we drove it during cold cold weathers which might take more fuel for engine to warm up, and with all the heating it's doing. any input? also, pretty much 95% city driving and i can only think of knight street bridge guzzling the gas away as that freeway seems to eat gas. is this normal? thanks.

GordonTse 03-18-2009 11:00 PM

400km is pretty bad for an r18 automatic. you should easily be getting 500km+ but your car is still new..

pharmed 03-18-2009 11:07 PM

That's shoddy mileage for a brand new car.. I'm not sure what your driving style is like, but unless you stomp on your gas pedal at every light I don't think that it's normal.

Also, heating your car in Vancouver isn't actually going to use that much fuel. I just went through a whole winter of an average -25 degrees (-32 with windchill) and still got 430 km, down from a summer avg of 470.

pherio 03-19-2009 10:49 AM

My tank is supposed to be 45l but I have yet to put more then 35l in it to fill it, makes me think somethings in my tank. I get about 9.75l/100km on my b20v, got about 6.5l/100km when I had my stock d16z6 with bad compression.

yameen 03-19-2009 12:10 PM

well the mpg ratings says i should be getting around 450km city and 500+ on highway. different people drive the car but there are a lot of stops and each time the lights turn green, i would rev up to 2k-3k rpm (usually the mid range) but i can't say the same for the rest of my family. i still think that's really slow acceleration but maybe the car needs to break in for it to get better mileage?

oppaair75 03-25-2009 10:06 AM

holy cow you guys get good mileage, i have a 91 civ with a b18a1 swap and i'm getting like 350 on a 25L tank, drives me nuts, i know its a bigger motor but i should atleast get like 450

BoS_DC2 03-25-2009 04:44 PM

350 kms per 25 L tank?

Is that a typo or are you out of your minds? That's great mileage!

triplexcel 03-27-2009 01:46 PM

400-450km for a 50L tank.. depends on how much highway driving i do though. i get 500ish km's in the winter cuz of the constant trips to cypress :P

There is no way you should only be getting that little mileage bud. Your tune is probably way to rich. Even with a lead foot and always being in boost I used to get over 350km in my DOHC boosted EK.

Unless your running a 35R or bigger and leadfooting it lol.

Berz out.

My tune is rich, hopfully gonna get a new tune soon. Garage 5 i guess would be my best bet?

kookoobird88 03-27-2009 08:06 PM

so far i think i have the worst milage here lol

lexluthor09 03-28-2009 10:19 PM

man i just did a tune up and the most i can get outta the RSX is 400 per tank...

Klutch 03-30-2009 11:16 PM

i got a 05 acura TL i think its a 17 gallon gas tank (64ish Liters) and i get like 380-390....i dont drive hard at all!!!!!!!! mostly city driving

GomGom 04-01-2009 12:00 AM

K20Z2 engine with minimum engine mod (just a cat-back), usually got 9.5-10 kms/L mostly city driving. You know kingsway...

Got 30 mpg when driving down to seattle and did mostly (90%) highway with 89 octane. I usually just fill 87 octane. I don't know if it makes any different.

LYC 04-05-2009 10:44 AM

with my itr swapped hatch i did 420kms with like 33 liters on my last fill up. with 94 octane. usually an equal mix of highway and city driving.
