me being hyper miler = 500kms/tank with alot of highway
me being gas demon = 300km/tank

tool001 03-29-2010 11:45 PM

tsx 65l tank, getting 600+ around 8-9l / 100km recently as i do more HW driving
in city it goes 10-13l/100km..
Running on regular gas/ on premium i think ill get better.

tckm 03-30-2010 12:16 AM

the best ive got was 700 km
and my tank is about 62L i think
its a 6th gen accord L4

but that was to BOnE DRY
... which isnt good for the fuel pump

I get an average of 480 to 500 a tank (45L) in D16Y8 EK. Thats in the city, with a/c on.

Maybe I should try synthetic oil and see if it does anything.

hmmm interesting... despite up to 10% ethanol i most recently beat my record of 6.54L/100km in my EF.

just barely beat it, but still beat it with 6.50L/100km. also running synthetic instead of conventional oil.

Milhouse 08-09-2010 10:36 PM

How do you guys do this more accurately?

Fill up gas until the gas pump stops the first time (first bump)? So don't over fill?
Then drive it to when the gas light goes on, or to the E line, or below the E line?

fill till full (one click), drive till whenever. record exact km's travelled and exact amount of litres you fill up with (one click again) then do the math. try to go to the same gas station if possible because the pumps are not calibrated correctly at a lot of places.

Amuse 08-10-2010 07:09 PM

Anyone else get better mileage when filling up a higher octane? I fill up 89 now and I get better mileage than 87. Maybe because there is 5% less ethanol?

Groot 08-14-2010 09:30 PM

06 acura csx 350km/50L....is that reasonable for all city driving?

spoon.ek9 08-14-2010 10:21 PM

^ that's 14.285L/100km....... either your numbers are inaccurate or you're a lead foot :p

Groot 08-14-2010 10:56 PM

hm...i dont have much of a lead foot lol i think i need to do more fill ups for a more accurate rating

spoon.ek9 08-15-2010 08:27 AM

just make sure you start from a full tank and then record the exact km's travelled and litres used to fill the tank to full again.

dipp 08-15-2010 02:04 PM

I get around 470km from an 05 civic si all city driving

Jgresch 08-15-2010 02:14 PM

550-600/tank 97 civic si half hwy half city

LiquidTurbo 08-15-2010 09:21 PM

These threads are pointless.

Calculate *.**L/100km, otherwise it's meaningless.

My best ever was 5.67L/100km in my RSX.

Jgresch 08-15-2010 09:28 PM

7.5 l/100km......
