1990 Civic DX Hatchback (D15B)
500km per 32L 89 Octane
aka 6.54L/100km
aka 35mpg city from a car made 20 years ago!!

1998 Civic DX Hatchback (B16A2 w/ bolt ons)
220km per 20L 94 Octane
aka 9.00L/100km

oil changes, new spark plugs/wires dramatically increase your fuel mileage.

EDawg 09-07-2009 08:36 PM

I'm getting ~400km per tank in my 09 civic, but the car isn't broken in yet.
Dealer says i should be getting 500kms per tank after break-in :D

Tapioca 09-11-2009 01:12 PM

1992 GS-R - completely stock, 216xxx KMs

- 370-380 KMs per 40L
- VTEC once or twice a day
- 95% city driving
- I shift in 3000-4000 range and I use engine braking quite a bit
- Other than above-average hydrocarbon ratings, my car has never had any trouble passing AirCare

My mileage has been fairly consistent in the 7+ years I've owned it. The replacement of an O2 sensor, cap and rotor, plugs (x2), and resets of the ECU have done nothing to improve the mileage. Older B-series motors aren't the most fuel-efficient, I guess.

1996 civic H/B. I'm at about 265kms at E. 28L to fill up.

92 CIVIC DX basically stock d15b7, CAI, UR pulley, fresh tune up. Gets between 500-600km on a 40L.

tonyvu 12-03-2009 09:04 AM

Konvict 12-03-2009 03:17 PM

for argument's sake, lets say 1L gas = $1.

x L / 100km = 42L / 620km

x = 6.77L/100km

so not bad at all!

edit: unless you remember exactly how many L you pumped in, the above calc is only an estimate.

Mephology 12-04-2009 05:05 PM

I'm pretty happy with mine.. 400 kms on 45L tank, 94 octane, no a/c, boosted b20 and I hit low boost daily. Hwy and city driving.

let's say 40.77L with gas at $1.03/L. that makes it 6.58L/100km or ~35mpg.

11.25L/100km, not bad for b20 turbo considering my b16a2 n/a
is hovering around 9.00L/100km.

dealer lied!

skyxx 12-05-2009 12:50 AM

^ Depends how you drive. Check tire pressure every 3 days? Drive like a grandma? No happy foot? No short trips? :)

Mephology 12-05-2009 08:02 AM

Yeah, you guys might wanna consider the size of your aftermarket rims. The manufacture ratings is based on their stock rim sizes. Your trips might consist of a lot of hills too.

Renegade1379 12-05-2009 09:28 AM

99 civic si 500km + depends on driving style

spoon.ek9 12-17-2009 06:15 PM

lilkulit 12-18-2009 05:05 AM

97 civic sedan auto. half granny driving, half happy foot driving.
200+ kms on half full 40l tank

BoS_DC2 12-18-2009 10:29 AM

For the first 3000 KM in my gf's 09 Civic EXL Coupe, she was averaging roughly about 42L/400KM?

Now things are starting to look GREAT!!! A mixture of city and highway driving, she got 36L/460KM!

Neoxphuse 12-18-2009 12:05 PM

550 kms on a full tank, 01 civic si ~ 50 l tank
